I would have never thought it would actually happen to me (plagiarism).

This is a rant about a bamon fiction I wrote and you can just skip it - on my part I just need to rant. You can ignore me.

Today I went to a conference and I stayed out all day, on my way back, since I was bored, I looked up my mails from the phone and I found a PM from one of my readers (for the life of me I can't remember her reviews or even ever speaking to her, but she was so kind and quite fast of reflex that she contacted me right away - I am so very grateful to her) asking me if I had published Dormiente on a site called quotev. I was puzzled, so I went there to check for myself, I had deduced that it was a site that redirected to fanfiction.net or that someone had published quotes of my story (because of the name of the site itself), instad I found a girl that has stolen the first chapter of my story, the fan art numenorss made for it and published it all as her own, asking to "her readers" what they thought about it and she should continue it (oh, dear, of course you should but no pressure, it must have been so tiring to write the fist chapter all by yourself... and were did you take your ispiration?).

I cannot believe the nerve of her. She's young, this is on her side, I'm the old one, I should understand but my first reaction was to get so angry, you have no idea. And then kinda heartbroken because it's just a little story but it's mine, there are my hopes and my imagination and my heart in that story (and if you write or draw or make videos or arts you know that) and it's so humiliating to see it "aboused" this way, published by someone else under their name... and to do what exactly?

I've heard many times of stolen plots and lines, but a whole story... It's so stupid, she didn't even change the title or the summary (which is so bad, but I never changed it because I can't think of anything). It's the only story on her profie (beautyatwork, but I would change that to thiefatwork if I were her) so I'm deducing she didn't even TRY to write something - it's not like I wrote the Divine Comedy, anyone can do better than me (anyone does better me, LOL)

I suppose I should take this as a compliment, but I don't feel flattered at all, only enraged and sad.
