I was sitting with my quill, coming up with nothing when someone knocked on my door. I don't usually get visitors, but I had an idea on who it was. I got up, my skirts swishing softly along my dark wood floor. The person at my door was getting impatient, so I picked up my pace.
I was surprised to see a very pretty lady standing in front of me. She was young, and wore a dark red dress that was tight around her torso, and fell in soft folds around her waist and down to her feet. It would've looked sort of like a wedding dress, if it weren't for the blood red colouring.
"May I help you?" I asked, calm and polite. Maybe she just wanted directions? She smiled sweetly.
"Yes you can. May I come in?" She spook with a voice smooth as silk. I stood aside, letting her in. Maybe one of Morgana's followers? I was still curious.
"Would you like some tea?" I offered, trying to be a good host. Though I didn't host many parties or gatherings. She nodded and I disappeared into the kitchen, and when I returned, she was flipping through my notes on the desk. "I would appreciate it if you didn't touch that" I said.
"I'm sure you would, Shiya." That caught me off-guard, No one knew my real name, except for Sam. I didn't even know who this was.
Then she started to question me about my hunt for Morgana, and I started to get really nervous.
"How do you know all this?" I asked, reaching for the bone-handled knife I kept tucked under my sleeve.
"Simple, she's the one who released me from the Underworld." I narrowed my eyes, checking to see if she was lying. I knew Morgana was working on some ritual to release a bunch of demons on our world, but I was unsure it was real. I was starting to realize it was a big problem, bigger then the pending war.
If there were now demons, I was surely doomed in my hunt for Morgana, especially if they would hold me back. I glared at my guest. "Why are you here then?" I said, with venom. She looked at me.
"To threaten you, and warn you." She said, smoothly, reaching for an apple that was in the bowl on the dinning room table. She seemed cautious, reaching for it. But as soon as her hands touched it, it faded to ashes. She sighed, as if this was expected. "The curse remains" She whispered. "Shiya, Morgana has done so many thing in favor of the demons, that you might not be prepared. There is a wolf, a half-breed, who will be very valuable in this oncoming war."
I looked at her. No way could I trust a demon. She reached for another apple, and it turned to ash as soon as she touched it. Her eyes flickered red, and she flashed sharp teeth. But when she spoke they looked normal. "Are you going to tell me where this wolf is?" I asked, cautious.
She laughed. A cruel, cold sound. "Now that would just be completely unfair to everyone. Especially us. No, but you will know when you see her" She said, and began to leave.
"Wait, who even are you?" I asked. If I could get her name, I could do research. She paused, thinking over the question. Without a doubt debating whether or not to answer it truthfully.
She turned to me, her eyes flickering red again. "You are speaking with Madira" She said before exiting the house, and cutting off any other questions I might have.
