It occurs to me that as of this exact moment there are 470 Shameless fics on AO3 (418 of which are Ian/Mickey). Of these, I've written 5 (or just over 1%)
There have been about 10 different writers on Shameless, all of whom have been involved for a varying number of episodes. There's also a butt load of directors, producers, cast, crew etc - like, actually hundreds of people all up.
In other words, if anyone involved in the show decides to troll the internet/Ao3 for fic written about the Gallaghers, there's a 1% chance they're going to come across my stories.
HOLY FUCK.
I don't know whether to rejoice or fucking delete everything and hide.
I've never been involved in a fandom this small before. Holy fuck you end up really visible, don't you?
Seriously, actually think about your other fandoms and just how much you would need to write in order to have contributed 1% of the fic on AO3.
Yeah yeah, I know 1st isn't the best chance in the world, but if I told you you had a 1/100 chance of making out with Noel or Cameron or Jeremy or Emmy or Shanola or whoever you're fangirling, you'd lose your fucking shit.
On a related note, writers of Shameless, if you are reading this, pretty please give me a job.
