Nestor looks up from his position in Eugene's arms. As it was, Nestor felt incredibly warm. Mainly due to the current position he was in. Nestled up right into Eugene's chest, kept close by his arms, and in his bed for what now must've been a few hours.

After that talk they had, they'd just been cuddling in Eugene's bed, occasionally talking a little about what they'd done in the meantimes of... This whole thing happening. Nestor honestly wasn't that surprised Eugene had started a shop at this time of all times to pick. He knew when he could capitalize on a situation, even if it made him seem like a bit of an asshole to others. Nestor knew Eugene was cool though.

Not in body however. Eugene was piping hot in terms of body. ... Which was why Nestor should probably get out of his grip. But it was late though, and it's not like he wasn't tired...

Plus, Eugene clearly didn't mind. ... Yeah. Nestor was just gonna stay right here, and go to sleep. That was for the best.

He was pulling at Eugene's flesh. Rearranging it, pulling himself over it grotesquely, forcing his friend's body and bone structure adapt to his own features. He could hear his friend screaming in agony, choking on the tendrils of worms that Nestor was pouring down every orifice he could reach. Mouth, nostrils, ears, eye sockets. Any hole was filled to the brim with worms, all writhing in unison as they adapted to their new host, ready to puppet him correctly.

When Nestor woke up, he was covered in cold sweat. What.. was that dream? It was.. disgusting. Disturbing. He hadn't liked it. He silently squirmed out of Eugene's still sleeping embrace, slipping into the floor to hopefully just... Pace around? Take a night walk? Sure, that sounded nice enough. Better than staying right there and getting nervous about the possibility of his dream becoming reality.

He managed to use his worms to open the front door, briefly wondering how long they were before closing the door behind him. He didn't think leaving the door ajar would exactly be the best fo his still normal friend. ... still normal.

He silently paced around the hallway, hugging one of the walls before—

He didn't care to look at the stairway they'd come from, instead hurrying into the first open apartment he found, not even caring to look at the number. He was NOT facing anything at this height, even less going back to Eugene's place. It could target Eugene if he went there, or destroy his stuff!

He hid under the table of the honestly quite blank apartment, the lack of decorations or necessary furniture jarring when compared to Eugene's place.

He slowly started regaining his breath, looking up at the visible door in the dark apartment. Really dark, actually. Or in his opinion at least.

The doorknob started jiggling. Just his luck. Damn it all.

Whatever entered into what he now realized was probably it's apartment, it was really large, had a lot of eyes, and was making a lot of mechanical noises.

"I know you're there... I can s-see you..."

No it couldn't.

It's voice was careful, as if every word was carefully weighed. He just tried controlling his breathing better.

... it was getting closer—

Nestor did what was probably the stupidest thing he had ever done in his life. And he'd done plenty of stupid stuff.

When it got close enough to him, he darted out from underneath the table, passing underneath it's cloak and between it's way too numerous metallic legs. The only thing he heard as he opened the door in front of him and closed it was the sound of a camera clicking.

Shit. Shit. Shit. He had to get back to Eugene's apartment, and quick. He didn't check if that thing had followed after him, just booking it to Eugene's door, entering the store part of the apartment, and locking it behind him.

Good lord.

He just caught his breath for a few moments, slightly whining at what had just transpired.

...okay he..

...he should just go back to Eugene's bedroom. He needed some more rest after that.

When he was finally nestled back near Eugene, Nestor was able to sleep again.

Obviously I love thoschei but another thing I love is AUs where the master is actually able to move on from the doctor and find happiness in someone else and the doctor gets sooo jealous. They try to hide it, from themselves included, but its still obvious.

      the island had effectively been delved into chaos. battles were raging, each and every soul locked in combat to prevent destruction or help in ensuring it happens. enemies from worlds far beyond others pour into the streets, some even remain in the skies as the sounds of unforgiving combat ring out in the air. 

             this truly was turning out to be a war fit for the history books.

 it’s when the fighting seems to have taken a pause-- a short few seconds where every noise cut off as breathers were taken and enemies were sizing each other up -- that it happens. in the streets of Archimedes, something seems to be bubbling up from the ground. a thick, black mist that almost looks tangible enough to touch but it would be dangerous to do so. it twists and turns, slowly building into a mass of dark shadows of some sort. one can only look on in fear and wonder as it grows . and grows.

   soon the mass has swallowed buildings and streets whole as it begins to pulse with life. veins -- or are they wires? it’s hard to tell -- glow an eerie crimson. the air around it is choking, making breathing difficult and one can’t help but want to run as far away from it was they possibly can. once the mass has reached a height far past the tallest building in the ward, it begins to shift again. tentacles resembling snake tails shoot out, cleaving nearby structures clean in half and slamming into the streets below, shattering concrete as if it were just a tiny little bug. eight more masses begin to extend out from the body of shadows as lethal seithr leaks into the streets below, a poison in every essence of the word. the beast seems to take final shape as from the eight neck-like appendages sprout eight heads as numerous sets of glowing red eyes fixate on its newfound target--

                                         this island and everything on it. 

        nothing was to be spared. it was something that knew only two things: destroy and kill. and as the beast lets out a roar that shakes the very earth beneath your feet, it was clear that it was not a threat to be taken lightly.

SO What’s going on, you ask? Well, Nine’s Big Bad Boss is the Black Beast, a creature who she fought in a war against back in her world. NULL has taken control of it and set it loose in the ward of Archimedes a bit close to the hole rather than the center of the ward. It’s big, it’s dangerous, and it has been nerfed for the event! Now, what can it do?

It’s big. like big. it can level/clear a battlefield by slamming its neck onto the ground and can fling you like a ragdoll with a hit from its tentacle a good distance. their heads are big ( an example) and it can easily destroy buildings and cause large craters in the ground.

while in the BB universe it is invincible to practically almost everything, it won’t be the same for the event so non-BB muses can have a crack at it. the Black Beast canonically CAN be harmed by magic, sorcery, any sort of Ars Magus which is a combination of magic and science that Nine herself came up with ( this works well for the BlazBlue muses who use it) and any Event/Nox Nyctores Weapons ( again you BB muses are gonna be so lucky). so if your muse can use magic, then it can hurt it something extra good. regular weapons and guns can be used against it for the event and they will hurt it, just….not much if you aren’t aiming for the heart & body.

its appendages can be severed. but even if you sever the head, it will STILL attack you as in the only way to kill the Beast is by destroying its heart and body. so if you wanna 1v1 a giant snake head go right ahead i won’t stop you

it is, expectantly, very strong and has colossal strength. it can also somewhat liquid-fy/mist-ify itself to move distances underground but that won’t be the case here as Nine will be doing everything she can to keep it in Archimedes so it won’t be moving to other wards but you can probably see the giant snake creature from other wards anyway

you can get poisoned if you get wounded by the Beast and/or the Remains. now while usually it’s seithr/magical element poisoning we can say for simplicity sake that it’s just magic poisoning. 

the mob enemies, called Remains, are going to be protecting it and will be located around its body. they are made by the Black Beast and for the event, are weak clumps of shadows with snake-like tails and claws used to attack. they are very violent and WILL go after anything that gets close to them or anything that gets in their sight.

  If you wanna have your muse fight the Remains or take on some part of the beast, you are more than welcome to! it isn’t dumb by any means and will trick your muse or use traps if need be. there is a reason it took so long to defeat during the Dark War.

          so yeah have fun with the giant snake!!!
