Conclusion: The reported “satanic cult” wasn’t a satanic cult at all, but instead a group of teenagers playing Dungeons and Dragons. Thanks to Sergeant Savage’s efforts, Father Armstrong would drop his investigation and make no further claims of having a satanic cult in the area. The case is now considered closed.

BACKGROUND:
Becker Savage becomes an auror because he wants to do what’s right. He becomes an auror because he wants to be a hero. He becomes an auror, in the mid 1930s, on the Eastern Squad, and he becomes a damn good one. He was always good at protecting others—protected his brother Camden, growing up, defended the weak, assisted the helpless. He knows, without a shadow of a doubt in his mind, what is right at all times.
He works hard until he is hurt, in the field, a cursed artifact taking his leg from him. And Camden comes to his side, abandoning everything to step up to the plate, to protect him, to stop him from getting hurt again. They work well, together, once Becker has recovered. Side by side. They always made a good team.
They’re on a case, he and Camden. A coven of vampires causing trouble in Bowling Green—or maybe someone causing trouble for the coven. The details, in his memory, are blurry, not significant enough to be remembered, up until the exact point that Camden is bitten. Bitten by a vampire, and Becker is almost quick enough to save him, would have been quick enough if it wasn’t for his damn leg, how it never healed right around the prosthetic, how he didn’t dedicate himself fully enough to the physical therapy the mediwixes recommended. Camden is bitten. Camden is a vampire. Camden is damned to immortal life, to an eternity of facing prejudice, and if Becker knows his brother he knows that it will eat Camden up inside, that Camden won’t make it without someone to protect him. He knows that it is his turn to step up to the plate.
Becker won’t become a vampire, won’t damn himself to that. But he finds another way to make sure he’ll live long enough to stay by Camden’s side. It’s simple enough, academically: to carefully place a piece of one’s soul inside an object to extend your lifespan, to overcome the inconvenient obstacle that is death. It is as easy, in practice, as it is academically: he places his soul inside a family heirloom, their mother’s old ring, and he hands it to Camden on a silver chain. He feels right; he feels just. This is just what it takes to be a hero.
They stick together, side by side. They change squads, a few times—people are increasingly uncomfortable with Camden’s unsettling presence, though he ensures that no one’s prejudice get in the way of allowing them to do their job and do it well. His wife ages; his son grows up. His son becomes an auror, too. His wife passes, sometime in the late 80s, and he grieves in his own way. Camden stays by his side, wearing their mother’s old ring, and he feels stronger with him there. He is an experienced auror, and a damn good one: a mentor, to any number of young recruits with strong moral codes over the years, glowing praise for many, many years of hard service. And if the fact that he doesn’t seem to have aged more than a handful of years since the late 50s strikes anyone as strange, they tend not to ask—Camden, he assumes, has something to do with that.
Conclusion: With the assistance of fellow auror Eden Blue, aurors Astor-Reyes and Savage were able to narrow down the killer’s location to a neighborhood they suspected he’d strike next. After searching what seemed to be a vacated home, Astor-Reyes and Savage were nearly ambushed by their suspect who’d been squatting in the home. Auror Astor-Reyes was able to subdue the suspect before they could injure either auror. After investigating the home, Astor-Reyes and Savage found enough evidence to confirm that their suspect was indeed the killer. The case is now closed.

Conclusion: After investigating giant history in the area at the Dallas Museum of Wixen History, aurors Savage and Norwood narrowed down the possible identity of their long deceased victim to three giant heavy-weight boxers. Using a lead they’d found there, they soon tracked down a half-giant by the name of Old Georg who was able to successfully identify the victim as Votan, a boxer who’d gone missing at the height of his fame. After tracking down Votan’s rival, who many had long believed to be responsible for the giant’s disappearance, he would confess to committing the crime through the means of a human mafia group he’d been connected to. Votan’s remains would be collected by a local clan, who would claim him as their own, so that the giant may finally receive a proper burial according to giant traditions. The case is now considered closed.

Conclusion: Inspector Becker Savage and Corporal Abel Montero were able to narrow down the location of the basilisk to a mineshaft near the Quaker commune that Peacemaker Fallow and the other victims lived in. The Body for the Protection of Magical Species would search this mine however, and only found a series of empty crates and broken basilisk egg shells. After an extensive search of the mine and the surrounding area, it was determined any basilisk, adult or juvenile, has been moved. All three petrified victims have been successfully revived after aurors, Montero and Savage administered the restoration draught to them. Nehemiah Fallow was relocated to a safe house nearby, owned by former aurors Fitz and Frank Barnes. It was determined by both aurors that a safe house would be the most appropriate action, considering the no-maj’s ties to a criminal who is still currently on the run. The wizard known as “Rune” who Nehemiah claimed was responsible for the basilisk attack is still on the run, and is considered a highly dangerous individual. The petrification aspect of this case is closed, however Rune is now considered part of MACUSA’s Most Wanted.

Conclusion: After going undercover as a married suburban couple, Becker and Baron were able to slowly gain the trust of the reported cult’s recruitment coordinator, Sherry Richardson. This allowed them a meeting with the cult’s leader, Tobias Smith. Unbeknownst to Becker and Baron, Smith had previously determined they were not who they said they were. Smith then attempted to obliviate the couple, but Becker was able to shield the spell and inadvertently hit Smith with his own obliviate. Tobias Smith would be arrested and transported to a MACUSA holding cell, awaiting arraignment. The cult members, including Sherry Richardson, were obliviated by the Federal Bureau of Covert Vigilance and No-Maj Obliviation. The case is now considered to be closed.
