CASE UPDATES:

NBO Attack on Squib Relations Offices

Current Status: CLOSED

Lead Auror: Brittany Duffy-Zanetti 

Assisting Auror: Todd Duffy-Zanetti 

Conclusion: After connecting the loose erumpents with the recent attack on Squib Relations, the Duffy-Zanettis would speak with Agent Abigail Langer, who gave them information on the NBO member known as the Fool. After looking over the erumpent case, Langer had surmised the NBO’s smuggler/the fool, had acquired the erumpents for the terrorist organization, before letting them loose in the Valley of Fire State Park after they no longer served a purpose for the group. With this information in hand, the Duffy-Zanettis then spoke with Immanuel Goodfellow, the lone wix witness to the crime. During their interview with the wix, the two aurors discovered Goodfellow wasn’t a witness at all, but rather the Fool himself. With Goodfellow in custody the case is now closed. 

Second Tier Reveal: After requesting for a plea bargain, negotiations were then made that Goodfellow would receive a lighter sentence should he hand over information regarding a higher ranked member. To the surprise of everyone involved, Goodfellow revealed his own mother- Diane Goodfellow had been working as the organization’s weapons specialist. He knew nothing further of just what kind of weapons his mother was helping the NBO with, or any other specific details, but Langer was able to determine that Diane Goodfellow is the NBO member she previously identified as Strength. As of now Diane Goodfellow is considered a highly wanted and dangerous individual. Being a former auror herself, Goodfellow is considered to be an expert fighter and duelist, and any auror that crosses her will no doubt experience some difficulty in apprehending her.

Rumored Messiah in Midville, Alabama 

Current Status: CLOSED

Lead Auror: Marleigh McMahon

Assisting Auror: Deliverance Mayhew 

Conclusion: With the assistance of Peggy St. Pierre, a  representative from the Department of Protective Services for No-Maj Born Children, aurors Marleigh McMahon and Deliverance Mayhew determined the town the Vallows resided in was not a safe place for Verity. Feeling confident that her family would be supportive of their daughter and her newfound magic, the entire family was relocated to a nearby town that would be much more welcoming of the young girl and her family. The case is now considered closed.

Hellhounds in Houston 

Current Status: CLOSED

Lead Auror: Camden Savage

Assisting Auror: Jack Monday

Conclusion: Charlotte Rossi, a former client of Alaina Robson, had framed the seer for the creation of the hellhounds. Rossi had spent her life’s savings after Robson warned her she was going to die soon. Rossi would not die, but would put herself into massive debt. Rossi created the hellhounds with the plan being that Robson would get blamed for their creation and serve jail time. Rossi is currently sitting in a holding cell in MACUSA, awaiting trial. 

Point Rewards:

Sergeant Camden Savage (Lead)

+75 points for solving as lead +15 for dispelling the hellhounds upon discovery

Resulting point rewards: +90

Officer Jack Monday (Assisting)

+70 points for solving as assisting -40 for drinking while on a case

** Auror has received his second out of three strikes. The disciplinary action for this is a demotion from Officer to Cadet. Any additional strikes will result in the auror’s removal from the department and surrendering of badge.

EVENT THREE: THE SCOTLAND MISSION

After a week spent undercover within Yaxley Manor, aurors Ignatius Yaxley and Cassandra Astor-Reyes have signaled the go ahead to begin the second half of the rescue mission. This mission will fall on Saturday, February 28th for our characters. This would be the Saturday of the same week Ignatius and Cassandra spent at the manor. 

The aurors involved in the mission will be instructed to go to the training facility at MACUSA headquarters that evening. A training dummy will be placed in the middle of the dueling ring, this training dummy is actually a portkey the aurors will use to take them to Scotland. Each of the three rescue teams will be given a different time to arrive. Those times are as follows:

The Greyback Camp Team will arrive at 7:00pm CST.

The Dungeons Rescue Team will arrive at 7:20 CST. 

The Servants’ Quarters Rescue Team will arrive at 7:30 CST. 

This means the aurors will be arriving around midnight in Greenwich Mean Time when they reach Scotland. As mentioned previously, the portkey in the training facility will deposit aurors in an abandoned barn down the road from Yaxley Manor. Once aurors arrive in the barn they will then need to begin their part of the mission. Once aurors are able to successfully extract their assigned missing auror, they will then need to make it back to the barn and use portkey again to return home.The portkey in the barn will take the form of a scarecrow. 

IMPORTANT: Please alert the admin before your aurors arrive at the barn to head back to MACUSA after a successful rescue mission. Each auror team will run into some kind of complication before they are able to return home. The details of this complication will be given to you at that time. 

OOC: There will be two additional admin posts before the event officially begins, which will be this Friday. These admin posts will detail the point spending opportunities, and special circumstances the aurors will run into immediately upon arriving in Scotland.
