I have a lot of head canons about jazmine and her character can go in very different directions depending on things. Do you think Raleigh would want to reunite with her ever?
Oh, absolutely. I think she’s probably the only remaining family he WOULD want to see again. Richard, he could never see again and be perfectly content, but I think he at least wants to know what happened to Jazmine.
If I remember correctly (it’s been a while since I looked for that specifically), she went into foster care, then ran away less than a year later and no one’s seen her since. If that’s the case (again, can’t remember for sure), I imagine that once Pitfall was over and the world would for sure keep on spinning, he would at least try to find her. Or to find proof that she was... gone.
I think he’d need closure, one way or the other. I think he’d worry that she hadn’t tried to contact him because she hated him for what happened to Yancy, but he would still need to know if she was alive or dead. Even if she never wanted to speak to him again, he’d need to know.
Honestly, I think he DESERVES to know. Even if she doesn’t want to speak to him (although I can’t imagine she would really blame him for Yancy, though she might have “blamed” them both for her getting taken away while they went off to the academy), Raleigh deserves to know if she’s alive or dead. Bless his heart, he’s earned it. Paid for it in blood and pain.
But I like to think that if he COULD find her, she would run to him and throw her arms around him -- carefully, though, because she knows about drivesuit trauma and EVERYONE knows how much damage both jaegers took before detonating/dropping into the Breach -- and tell him that she missed him and she’s so glad he’s alive. For God’s sake, they both deserve at least one purely feel-good moment!
