Had last bee class today! Went out to a beeyard and installed packages.

Very cold and windy. Felt bad for package bees; not only were they crowded, disoriented, confused, but also cold and wet. Poor bebehs.

Inspected a functioning hive. Held my hands over it because oh god so warm I wish I could just crawl in with the bees and be warm.

I tried to pick every last bee off my clothing and put it back in the hive because a confused package bee would not survive away from the hive for long in this weather. Precious fuzzy girls. <3
