A fair amount of Bee Balm survived too that I’ll get to add to my already established patch 🐝
I unburied and fertilized my Wild Gingers (bought live) which all survived the winter. (Left 4/16, Right 4/19)
Also fertilized my Granny's Bonnets (Wild Columbine) today (Left 4/16, Right 4/19)
My Beebalm (bought live) has definitely survived it's first winter.
And to my delight the single Wild Geranium I was able to grow from seed last year has come back 🎉
An eastern tiger swallowtail (Papilio glaucus) probes deep to reach the summer's sweetest honeypot inside the long-lipped, tubular flowers of wild bergamot (Monarda fistulosa).
