Day 27 of @birbfest.challenge - Red-Bearded Bee-Eater
Again... yesterday's birb. The days are getting away from me. This is a chonky happy dude! He made me happy when I was painting, hopefully he will make you smile as well!
Little Bee Eater, day 20 of #birbfest2024 . #Birbfest is hosted by @monkeymintaka this year and created by @birdietam.art
your podcast posting has worked. I've been listening to eidolon for a few weeks now as my driving to and from teaching podcast and having a lot of fun! Thank you for being a funny podcaster. Question: I'm assuming that there's discussion happening on the paytreon and discord, but beyond that, do people talk about the podcast anywhere? I've seen fairly consistent character designs in fanart and was wondering if those were the secret rules set by long time fans.
people post about it on twitter and tumblr sometimes but I don't think there's an Organized Fandom or anything. the discord's probably the main Place To Be in that regard.
re: character designs I think a lot of those are derived from picrews because like half the cast is obsessed with doing picrews of our characters. but imo feel free to get wild with it. there's nothing I love more than seeing "nonstandard" fanart and going "oh shit that's not how I pictured them at all but I can kind of see it"
also I am glad you like the podcast!!! thank you for finding me funny.
My hand embroidery, needle painting, of a Chestnut Headed BeeEater. Took over 60 hours to stitch, with over 50 colors used. Now I just have to lace and mount it. Then it ships to Germany. I’m a bit sad to see it go. I hope he brightens your day.

so looking forward to going back to FWA this year—i’ve missed so many people 😭💖 so here’s some art that has graced the art shows over the years.
the takin and moon bear are still with me if anyone wants them on their walls instead of collecting dust in my portfolio 😘
