Birmingham Indie Scene - Clockwork Orange (1/3)

Now we move from Italy to Birmingham, a City and Metropolitan Borough in the West Midlands of England, UK.

Birmingham contributed many major bands in the Rock and Pop history, like Traffic, T-Rex, Black Sabbath, Duran Duran and more. Let's see what the city has to offer today: I was listening to Clockwork Orange over and over and tried to recognize all the ingredients in their music. There is a BritPop, sweet electronics of their home-fellows Duran Duran, darker electronics notes of Depeche Mode, a little bit of grunge and even (and this is the weird one), synthesizer work that reminds you of Iron Maiden's epic album "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son". Nevertheless, the secret ingredient is there and it makes Clockwork Orange's music a unique listening experience. The band was formed in the late 90's and gigs a lot. Recently they released a new single, "Talking in your Sleep". It reflects their unique music, Clockwork Orange takes you on a musical trip that goes through all their influences and adds their personal creativity.
