Dawn asked me if Dani and Bee would drunkenly make out and I said YES. Art and Dani OC both belong to her!

“Yo Bee.”

She blinked up at the ceiling.

“Hmm?” Bee muttered back, the haze of alcohol making her thoughts feel thick and sluggish. Everything felt like it was happening in slow motion as music from the den den mushi played distantly in the background. There hadn’t been time to change from her work uniform, she’d only been allowed to strip off the necessary outer layers and shoes before her best friend had shoved a drink in her hand and demanded she drink.

She looked up to see Dani’s green eyes gleaming at her. He was leaning against the headboard to her bed, paperwork in his hand and strewn across the blankets. How he could even concentrate enough to read was beyond her, let alone try to get any work done.

Maybe that was why Dani was the reporter instead of her though.

Still, the flush across the high of his cheeks let her know that he was at least feeling some of the booze. Good. After the first round she made them all herself and specifically made his stronger than hers, the dick.

A gloved hand grabbed onto one of her ankles from where they rested in his lap; she was laying spread out in the opposite direction, limbs askew. Her own brown eyes stared at him half-lidded, feeling the room spin slightly as the silence stretched.

The light of the lamp on the bedside table reflected off one dangling gold hoop earring and her attention focused on that, eyes tracing the shape of it, following the line up the familiar notch in the ear. Then Dani smiled and it was filthy.

“Wanna make out?”

Bee considered it, tested the weight of booze burning in her veins against how appealing the offer was.

They had been best friends for a long time now and occasionally did this. Got a little too drunk, a little too sad in their almost permanent single-ness that they sought comfort in each other.

Dani was handsome, big eyes with a charming smile. His short-cropped white hair was soft whenever she ran her fingers through it.

A finger hooked under the line of her sock and slipped it off, bringing her back to the present. “Hey!” Bee complained immediately.

“Oh come on,” Dani dismissed, already working off her other sock. “Have a little fun.”

She pouted. Her feet always got cold without socks. But it did wake her from her booze-fueled stupor enough to roll her legs out of his lap and struggle into a sitting position. “Okay fineee,” she drawled, and Dani grinned with victory.

“Come’re,” he said but didn’t allow her to move as he grabbed her around the waist and pulled her along with him as he moved to the edge of the bed. She grunted with annoyance as he man-handled her but soon enough she was in his lap, legs wrapped around his waist.

“You’re prettyyyy,” Bee said as she cupped his cheeks, feeling the heat of the flush radiate against her palms. His grin widened.

“And you’re drunk.”

“So are you.”

Dani didn’t comment outside of a chuckle as her hands trailed down his face and wrapped around his neck.

Bee wasn’t sure who leaned in first, but really who cares? Warm lips descended over hers and her eyes fluttered closed as she sighed. He used her open mouth to his advantage, slipping his tongue inside.

She sucked on it, tasting the alcohol that still lingered. Idly Bee wondered what she tasted like as her fingers ran up the back of his hair, feeling the way he shivered under her touch.

The thought was promptly forgotten when Dani groaned making a spark of heat curl in her lower belly. Oh, but he must have been thinking about this or something because she felt a bulge in his pants as she shifted. His gloved hands grabbed her tight, one wide hand around her waist and the other going to palm at her ass.

He dipped her, dragging her lower body closer to his hips, rubbing his growing budge against her. She laughed into his open mouth. Dani pulled back just enough to mutter, his breath ghosting over her lips.

“Focus, Bee.” He was panting. She wanted to make a joke or another comment, but he dove back in, tongue seeking out her own.

This time she indulged him, twisting her own around his, alternating sucking and rubbing her tongue against his until she had swallowed every last hint of booze. Until all that remained was the unique taste of Dani.

Spit trailed down the sides of her mouth and it briefly broke her out of her trance as she pulled back. He made to follow, chasing after her lips but she wiped a hand across her mouth, pushing him back with the other.

“Swallow your spit, why don’tcha?” she complained, and he rolled his eyes.

“Why are you always so bossy.”

Bee glared before tilting up her hips, grinding against him and Dani hissed with surprise. “Seems like you’re the one being needy.”

“Touché. You good now or what?” Hunger was in his gaze, and she smiled despite everything.

It was nice, trusting a friend like this. Sure, maybe not all friends normally made out like this but what did that matter? It worked for them, no hurt feelings, nothing deeper than just this. Scratching an itch and enjoying the process. She reached out to grab onto the back of his neck and pulled him down towards her. Dani followed, an answering smile stretching over his lips.

M!OC and F!S/I / SFW  / 402 words Summary: Dani just wanted to visit with his friend, meanwhile Bee is to busy being upset she missed out on seeing her crush. Warnings: None.

“I’m so mad Daniiiii.”

“Mm,” he replied distantly taking a sip of his coffee. His friend Bee sat across from him, holding a forgotten teacup, other hand flapping about as she whined.

“He was right—” she sniffed loudly “—at the next island and I didn’t knowwww. I could have seen him, Dani!!”

“Sure could have.” Watery brown eyes turned to glare at him as she pouted.

“You’re so mean!!”

“What, me?? What did I do?”

“You’ve gotten to see him before and I don’t get anythingggg.” Bee sobbed, her face looking almost cartoonish in her drawn-out drama. As a reporter, Dani saw any number of famous people and pirates. Not that Bee cared about anyone else but still, it sometimes amused him that only one person held her interest like this.

They were talking about Whitebeard. Or, well, Bee was. Dani was just trying to hang out and relax. Apparently the Whitebeard Pirates had docked at a nearby island for a few days. Close enough Bee could have realistically gone to see if she could catch sight of her long-held crush.

Dani really didn’t understand but he was well past the point of asking about it. As another sob echoed, he remembered something and dug into his pocket. Revealing a photograph, he blinked with surprise. He hadn’t realized he’d shoved it into his back pocket until just now. Shrugging and thanking his lucky stars, he held it out towards her.

“Here, will this cheer you up?” he asked as Bee sniffed loudly before peering at him suspiciously. When she looked down at the photo, her hand shot out and snapped it up greedily.

“YOU GOT A PICTURE,” she screamed loud enough to make several seagulls scattered around take flight. Dani winced and rubbed at his ear.

“Stop screaming, but yeah. Feel better already?”

Bee stared at the photograph. “Just a bit. Still would have been nice to see him though.”

“I know,” he agreed. “But at least let me enjoy my coffee in peace before you start wailing at me, I’m barely awake as it is.”

She snorted. “That’s ‘cause you don’t sleep.” But she sipped on her tea, swaying a bit in her chair before clicking it down on the saucer and smiling down at the photo. “How’s work been?” she asked.

Dani sighed with relief; happy they were back on track.

“Fine. Actually I got a story to tell you—”
