A moment of support for all the kids out there that live privileged lives but put up with verbal emotional or physical abuse. All the kids with the roof over their head and enough to eat but their parents treat them like shit. Other people's struggles don't invalidate yours. It's okay to feel trapped and confused. When they scream at you and threaten you and control your access to escape, that's not okay. It will get better and your feelings are valid. Someday things will get better. Believe that. Know that their actions and belittlement speak of their character, not yours. Know that you are a human being deserving of love and respect.
