Bobbi ran her fingers through her hair and sighed. She leaned back in her chair to look over at Clint at the door. She gave him a slight smile before she put down her tablet. “How long have you been standing there?” Tilting her head while she stretched her arms above her head. She had been so caught up in the paperwork that she hadn’t realized how late it was. “Did you wait up? Or did you just have a question for me?” Quirking up an eyebrow a she waited for his answer to her question. Standing up to walk over to him and her hands rested on her hips. Amusement on her lips as she waited for his answer.

“Oh. Um. Gee, I don’t know, Kara...” Amelia began, her voice trailing off as she thought for a moment. “Well... I guess I really want a guy that can make me...feel like I’m enough, you know? Let me be someone’s princess in their life story.”

“I’ve missed you.”

The words are spoken softly, quickly, before the crashing of lips. Her arms wrap around his back, holding him close against her, not wishing to let him go far from her. Yes, she has missed him. It was only a week apart, but still, seven days was seven days. And now, to have him back, safe, she couldn’t get close enough.

She swallows his name. There is a part of her that is touched, she truly is, that he would find her so important to want to save, but...

She wants to tell him she's fine.

She's not.

"...It's my job to protect you, not the other way around. There's only one you. I... The world needs you, Clint."

"I'll... It's fine." If she said it enough times, maybe one day, she'd believe it.

Amelia hummed against his lips, holding it for a moment, before she slowly broke the kiss, her arms loosely wrapped around his shoulders, and a faint smirk tugged at her lips.
