lyla it my BIRTHday! im 29! but bc of everything, celebrations are a bit.. lacklustre this year. can you tell us how the [FABRIC RUSTLES] team like to celebrate their birthdays? (to be clear this is NOT an art request i just like your headcanons, please rest!)

Hmmmm, I don’t think that either of them would really enjoy having a BIG birthday party, they prefer to celebrate with close friends only! As much as Jon likes being “the center of attention” (as Georgie put it), I think he feels pretty awkward about too many people making a big deal over his birthday. Jon likes attention when they feel like they’ve earned it with a good performance or achievement or a piece of knowledge they can ramble off about whatever, but birthdays just feel like a lot of fuss over nothing to them! So for Jon, it’s a small celebration with close friends at home. Martin likes to go all out cooking a fancy meal for all of them and even baking a cake (Jon insists on helping him with all of it even though he doesn’t want them to, so he usually ends up having to swat them out of the kitchen at least a few times during the day)
As for Martin, he’s actually happiest when he can relax at home and not have to worry about a single thing all day. He’s a real “breakfast in bed” type and Jon likes to spend the day doting on him! They usually go for a walk in the city and eat at whatever little restaurant they feel like for lunch, and then Jon makes a vegan beef Wellington for dinner (his favorite dish)! Tim and Sasha usually drop off a pie for him and stick around to have a slice, but that’s all the “party” he really cares for 😁
