Ed and Al go leave him to go talk about, but it’s Winry who comes back to speak to him, which is what he assumed would happen. She’s their center, their home, and they won’t do anything as drastic as leaving for central without her support, without her on their side. 

“Where my husbands go, I go,” she says, steady. 

Roy had assumed that too. He nods. 

She taps her wrench in her hand, her eyes narrowed. “No one can know who they are. The Elric Brothers remain infamous, and unknown.” 

That could be trickier. “What am I supposed to tell me people when they ask what you’re all doing there?” 

“You’re a smart man, Roy,” she says, and it doesn’t sound like a compliment, “figure it out.”

Huh....I have that happen to my feet, but only in the summer...never had it on my hands. Didn’t know there was anything to be done about it!

Welp, add another person to your list, because I think that's what the issue with my feet is.

*cracking up laughing* I’m going to call it two dozen, now. 

If you’re in the US, Lachydrin lotion for lactic acid and Gold Bond Ultimate Softening Foot Cream for uric acid (listed as urea in the ingredients -- urea and uric acid aren’t the same but they have the same effect in this case) are the easiest to find. Also keeping your skin super dry helps, although I found when I was swimming more often that chlorine-treated water didn’t affect it the way tap water did.   

Intriguingly, focal palmar peeling is almost always diagnosed by manicurists rather than by dermatologists, since most people assume it just happens and never see a doctor about it. I only looked into it myself because it didn’t start happening until my 30s and I was concerned I was having some kind of immune issue, and when I did the most comprehensive article I found about it was in a magazine for manicurists.

I’ll believe it when I see it. Every bulb in my garden is starting to sprout and the roses never really went dormant this year.
