Another thing about Beethoven 9 is that it has probably the best stand cue in all of music

BEETHOVEN 9 CONCERT WAS A SUCCESS!!!!
As some of you know I was in the choir in the Beethoven 9th symphony and it was a blast last night!!!! Everyone did such a great job!
My friend took this picture during the concert.
Unfortunately, I’m behind the orchestra on the left side, so you cannot see me, but my dad got some good pictures so hopefully he can give me those. The symphony orchestra is putting together a permanent choir next year, so hopefully I can audition again, and get into the choir full time.
This is one of only two choral alto parts that I've ever heard a soprano express envy over.* They are completely right to do so.
*The other one is the "Chume, chume, geselle min" passage in Carmina Burana. Which I absolutely adore and which is COMPLETELY in my comfort zone vocally
It is unbelievable that I missed the birthday of my Ninth last Wednesday! You're just as beautiful as 201 years ago. I remember the premiere like it was yesterday - although I could hardly tell what was going on at the time.
