A lot of what annoys me about the “drivers as women” thing is the dudebros of reddit going on about “yeah I’d fuck **insert driver here** as a chick” which... first off is gross behavior but second is exactly what they accuse female F1 fans of doing to undermine our opinions? And also just emphasizes that as a woman your talent is no longer valid and all that matters is whether men see you as fuckable 🙃

Ugh it’s so misogynistic and toxic masculinity. That shit is gross. Women have so much immense value outside of physical appearance and fitting into whatever beauty standards men like. And let’s not even dive into what they would say about actual trans folx.
As much as I think x driver is cute, like it doesn’t make me or anyone else who thinks that less as fans. Forbid us from being capable of two or more things at once.
