1. How did we meet?
We met here on tumblr. She started following me because she liked reading my stories, and I followed her back after seeing some of her art..and we started talking, I fangirled all over her (and surprisingly she didn't think I was a weirdo) and the rest is history. :)
The first time she called me on the phone was on my birthday. She waited up all night to be the first one to say 'Happy Birthday' to me.
We first saw each other in person when I went to San Francisco for a service trip....and the story is incredibly romantic and sappy so bear with me. Basically, she decided to go to SF once she heard I would be there for a week or so...and the day that I flew in she wanted to see me.
A bunch of shit happened, and it turned out that she couldn't meet me at the airport, I couldn't stay with her at the hotel, and I basically had no freetime to spend with her... We kept trying to find each other, but kept missing one another.
So, absolutely heartbroken, I start wandering around with my little service group and we stop for a second in Gheradelli square to grab some lunch.
And there she was. Right in front of me.
What happened next is a bit of a blur for me...I was in her arms and almost crying...and I remember being really lightheaded (I think I said something about food???). The only thing I remember is thinking how good it felt to be held by her. How warm she was. How cute her little jacket was. How good she smelled. How much more beautiful her smile was in person....
And I remember telling her later that day that the whole thing was incredible. In a city full of over a million people...we managed to find one another.
2. Where was our first date?
Hmmm depends on your definition of 'date'. We first hung out via skype--so..technically our first date was in my bedroom watching netflix together. :P
The first time we held each other was in San Fran (and coincidentally the first in-person date was in SF too)
3. First impression?
My first impression of her was that she was hella rad and that we should be best buddies.
I'm pretty sure her first impression of me was "who is this nerd?"
4. When did we meet each other's families?
I met her family pretty early via skype. She still hasn't met my parents yet.
5. How long have we been together?
almost 11 months. September will be our one-year :)
6. Who wears the pants in the relationship?
No one. There are no pants. Our relationship is pants optional.
7. Nicknames for each other?
I call her "my sparrow" "snugglebug" "nerdbutt" "nerd" "goober" "sweetpea" "sweet angel" "angelface"....and a bunch more.
She usually calls me "babe" "baby" "dork" "nerd" "nubbins" "mamona" "pirata" "preciosa" "goober" "nerb" "beeb/burbs" and "behbeh"
8. Favorite thing(s) about them?
Everything. Literally everything.
I love the way she looks when she wakes up in the morning-- when her hair is all tangled and her eyes are all sleepy. I like the way she smells after she's been cooking.
I like the way she listens to Fleetwood Mac when she's getting ready in the morning, and the way she leaves bright red kiss marks on my face with her fresh lipstick.
I like the way she makes happy little squeaks when she's excited to see me after I (accidentally) wake her up too early. I like the way we fit in each other's arms.
I even love her morning-breath kisses.
I like the way she challenges me to grow, learn and listen. Each day I become a better person with her. Each day I learn and feel something new.
I fall more and more in love with her each day. I find new things to love about her each and every day. Choosing only a few favorites is impossible.
