I’ve been testing out the Simplistic Begin Cleanser over the course of a few weeks now, and am ready to share a few notes on my experience. . Firstly, I was excited to try this out because it has a seemingly gentle formula. With combination acne prone skin that’s showing signs of aging, I need gentle, clean, hydrating products. The ingredients list contains honey and aloe vera, which hydrate and soothe the skin. It also contains chamaecyparis obtusa water, which claims to be a strong antioxidant and delay signs of aging. . The cleanser has a brown color, and is a thick gel. I personally like the consistency because it’s easier to work with - it’s not too thick, but thick enough that you’re not racing the clock to apply it before it runs everywhere on your hands or face. There is also a pleasant mint scent. I really enjoy this - I’m not normally a fan of scents but this is light and invigorating, which I appreciate when I’m washing my face. . I get a nice gentle lather working with this cleanser, but it foams up too with a foaming net or pump. It has a pH of 6 (according to my strips) and I feel no tightness on my skin when I use or rinse away this cleanser either. It actually leaves my skin feeling nice and smooth! . Overall I’m pleased with this particular cleanser, and just light repurchase it when it’s gone - but y’all know I love to try new things... .
