What if the city wasn’t buried to hide it—
but to protect the rest of the world from what it became?
What if the woman digging through its ruins starts dreaming in a language no one has spoken in over a thousand years?
What if the man beside her looks at the murals and swears they’re changing—and worse, they’re starting to look like her?
What if they weren’t just uncovering history—
but waking it?
Would you read this book?

I’m writing this—follow along if you want to see it rise from the ruins.
I’m so excited I think I might actually start writing my book! I got a computer for Christmas, and I’ve been planning this book for 3 months I think. But I’m really excited to start writing it.
writing. first fic rn. okay proably not first, i have so many notebooks that i've started writing in and then lost. but probably first published one. on ao3. incredibly excited woooooooo.
I want this to be a blog for my ~writing~ (fanfics). I am an amateur starting author, but I am very excited to be starting! I will probably write very heavily for The Legend of Zelda, specifically Zelda/Link ship stuff, but I also might branch out.
On here I want to post about ideas I have for fics, show WIPS of fics, and just talk about the writing process. Should anyone read this, I hope u enjoy my stuff <3
hi! im trying to finally get to writing a story I’ve had in my head for a long time! it’s about a demonologist and the end of the world, and some other cool stuff (it has biblically accurate angels, if that sweetens the pot.) it’d really mean a lot to me if you’d give it a gander! no pressure, though.
it’s called The Weight of The World, and you can read the first chapter here!
Do not repost or use without permission or credit, but reblogs are highly recommended!

I stumbled a bit, but quickly gained my balance. Luck was in my favor for this one as the lab was close, I internally celebrated it and let out a small chuckle. Well, I guess that wasn't a fully internal celebration in my brain space but still.
I looked around, nothing entirely out of the ordinary or eye catching other than it being unusually dark and multitudes of supplies were missing from their stations. Supplies get used up daily and I'm sure they had to fire countless scientists and workers so it was to be expected that areas of the lab wouldn't be working or restocked with supplies.
As I continued to walk deeper into the lab I quickly saw how it became a disaster. Glass tubes that were once meant to house specimens and for creating life forms were shattered, the glass littering the floor. Blood and unidentifiable liquids covered a good amount of the floor in various areas as well, which raised alarm if the glass wasn't enough. It was old and dry, but you could never be too careful about these things.
I attempted to walk quieter, which was hard with boots but I tried my best. I didn't know if this was a beast's doing or not, but I wasn't about to find out the hard way like last time. Last time being running into a beast that had escaped and had torn off my arm, thankfully it fully grew back but it's not something you forget.
As I continued to walk it was apparent that it was only that sector, or at least what it seemed like as I crossed over into a completely fine sector 2B, it looked as if nothing had been touched for years, almost suspended in time all together, as there wasn't even dust to be seen. It was odd for sure, but I didn't put my guard down, who knows what's in here.
I walked over to an examination table, examining the shift in the air as I got closer. Magic, of course, but I couldn't pinpoint what kind and what it was doing here though, but my thoughts were quickly interrupted.
There was a bloody scalpel on a bloody examination table, old blood but blood nonetheless. How were they here? Who did this? The thoughts swirled in my mind before I forced them to the back of my mind, attempting to calm myself and ignoring the taste of blood in my mouth. It's odd how minds do that. Make you relive and feel stuff that happened way in the past.
Pushing the thought to the back of my mind once more, I picked up a pair of tweezers on the table, examining them despite nothing interesting on them. But on the good side now I know I can interact with items without something happening, or at least picking up the tweezers didn't cause anything. Either way they both were a good sign.
I pocketed the tweezers and moved over past a few stations to find anything of use, and thankfully there was. For some reason a jeweler's case was on a table, which I could use on both screws and random things in general, they are very useful despite being small after all. Anyways, it was probably good to start heading deeper in and not stay in one place long.
Now that I thought about it, i don't remember adding examination tables, I don't even allow anyone or anything to be cut open even with my supervision or guidance. I've had that happen to me and knowing that most likely has happened here, the atmosphere felt darker and heavier with dread. It's painful, yes, so I only have to hope they had the decency to at least numb the pain if anything.
As I continued to walk it felt like there was another presence out here now, causing me to shiver at the thought of being watched. I looked around, seeing a quick blur of something ducking behind a corner. I ran after it, turning the corner to see it fall right in the middle of the hallway. I almost grabbed them as they got up, but luckily I was able to catch up to whatever or whoever it was quickly and turned it around so I could see their face.
I was stunned, both of us just staring at each other for a few moments in disbelief, or at least I was. She was probably shocked at the chase and the fact I turned them around so forcefully.
"..Kaijol?" i said, unsure if what i saw was true. She looked terrible.
Her hair was unkempt, it looked like she hadn't gotten sleep in a long time, and her glasses were shattered. I probably didn't look any better but still, it was surprising. She usually was the cleanest out of all of us and seeing her like this was.. scary to put it simply.
"H.. hi." she replied meekly, her voice unusually soft and full of uncertainty.
"What happened to you, are you ok?" i asked, letting go of her shoulders and instead lightly holding her hands.
"I.." she shook her head and averted her gaze before continuing, "a lot of stuff happened. I'm not ok with talking about it right now." she explained. I can understand it was probably a lot, even more so knowing that I haven't been around for years, it definitely pushes people to not trust you.
I nodded. "Alright, just know that i'm here if you need to talk." i said as i rubbed my thumbs over her hands before letting them go. A small smile appeared on her face as she looked up at me, but it was more of a 'thank you' than a 'good to see you'.
She sighed, fixing her glasses some from the chase as they were knocked off center.
I'm glad that it was her here and not a monster, but seeing her like this hurt me in more ways than one. I was angry, I was afraid, I was sad. She is strong, i didn't think i would ever see her like this. Wait, was there a monster?
"So.. what happened to the lab?" i asked, trying to make any sort of talk, and also to make sure there was no monster. Maybe i should stop focusing on some evil force being here, i probably was the only evil force around. Well, in a sense that is.
"Stuff... I guess the saying of 'we are the real monsters' comes into play. I forgot how mean some of the others can be when you aren't around to monitor them." she explained. I remember a few of the scientists that were just complete assholes to everyone other than their little group they had made. Even more so to Kaijol for some reason, so I used to always be in the area to make sure they didn't pull anything. I wish i could have fired them but they threatened to leak private information that honestly would just ruin the reputation and lives of the crew and everyone working in the labs, so we all decided to keep them as that was the best option.
I nodded understandingly, "Well, on a somewhat happy note I found Pink and Purple and I was wondering if you could help fix them by any chance." I said, rubbing my arm nervously.
"Yes, but only for them. You should know I don't trust you at all, Jole." she said, glaring at me. It hurt, but it should be expected. I hummed in agreeance to her statement, i wouldn't trust myself if i am to be completely honest.
"Want to go now?" I asked, holding my hand out. She nodded and took my hand, so I proceeded to teleport both of us there.
She could teleport herself, but not across dimensions, just within a single room, and even that wasn't very far in the grand scheme of things.
As we teleported in she let go of my hand and she walked over to where they lay, looking at them briefly, not going too deep into her investigation of the damage.
"I could fix their main circuits fairly easily to get them functional. We just need to have something covering the majorly exposed spots until we get something to fix them with fully. Got any wrappings?" she asked, looking over to me.
"Yeah, in my bag. Do you need to go back to the lab for anything?" I asked in return, to which she shook her head in denial.
"I could just magic them up." she replied, producing some items from thin air. I guess i really did miss a lot, last time i was here she could barely even make a stable object last for a few seconds.
"Oh.. ok then. I'll just be looking inside the house then." i said, turning around to go inside, the only reply back was an uninterested hum.
