It’s been long overdue, so here’s my anime rankings from this past winter season (from worst to best):

20. Beheneko: The Elf-Girl's Cat is Secretly an S-Ranked Monster!

Worst anime I watched all season. The animation was bad. The villains were generic. Girls were down bad for a cat. But the thing that bothered me the most about this anime is that the girls wore armor that only covered 5%-10% of their body.

19. I'm Living With a Otaku NEET Kunoichi?!

This was just weird, cringe, and boring for the most part

18. Unnamed Memory Season 2

One of the most boring anime I’ve ever watched. Season 1 was alright, but season 2? The plot was all over the place and hard to follow.

17. I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons

I didn’t like this one. People say it’s wholesome but not to me. Main girl was forced to take princess lessons, imprisoned in the castle, tries to escape several times. And everyone wants her to be with the prince so her ending up with him feels forced which takes away the wholesomeness and genuineness of love. The animation was also weird.

16. Anyway, I'm Falling in Love with You.

Another anime that was pretty boring and the animation was pretty bad. It’s only this high up because of the OP.

15. Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms

I despise this anime. The main pairing is so ass it’s unbelievable. Medaka has 0 personality and Mona is annoying af cuz she’s insanely full of herself. Asahi deserves better.

14. I'm Getting Married to a Girl I Hate in My Class

This had some promise but did that take towards the end. Ig actually took a downward spiral when the sister was introduced. And then the main girl’s best friend went out with the main guy, making her jealous. I hate when jealousy is the main contributor for someone realizing they have feelings for someone else. It’s just such a tiring trope.

13. I’m a Noble on the Brink of Ruin, So I Might as Well Try Mastering Magic

This is just straight up mid. It’s not bad, it’s not good either. It’s simply about a kid OP in magic creating his own civilization

12. Zenshu

Overrated anime of the season. Mappa cooked with the unique animation and all, but the story/plot was just “meh”

11. My Happy Marriage Season 2

Honestly don’t remember much from this season other than Kiyoko’s mother being a bitch to Miyo and kinda warming up to her by the end

10. Honey Lemon Soda

I kinda liked this. Although, this kind of trope in Shoujo is way too overdone

9. I Have a Crush at Work

This was alright. I was more invested in secondary pairing than the already established one, but that’s just me.

8. OKITSURA: Fell in Love with an Okinawan Girl, but I Just Wish I Know What She's Saying

Cute little romcom with educational bits about Okinawa culture. But I don’t know if it’s an advertisement for tourists in Okinawa or a warning to them

7. I May Be a Guild Receptionist, but I’ll Solo Any Boss to Clock Out on Time

This anime grows on you the more you get into the story.

6. Even Given the Worthless “Appraiser” Class, I’m Actually the Strongest

Underrated anime of the season. It’s a harem anime which not a lot of people will like. But for a generic long-ass-name anime, the anime wasn’t bad, I liked the OP, and it’s a good underdog story.

5. The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You Season 2

I do think this is an overrated series, but the comedy/absurdity has its charm.

4. Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister

Anime can be so much better when they are either given 20+ episodes a season or 2 cours. This is a prime example that.

3. Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf

The better of the 2 adult romances. There’s something about someone from another world getting a tour/introduced to earth that I like.

2. Solo Leveling Season 2

Overrated as hell. Not deep at all, all jinwoo does is aura farm, but I can’t lie and say this wasn’t one of the most entertaining anime of the season

1. Blue Box

Hands down, #1. I’m def glaze this anime as my #1 cuz it’s the only anime I’m ahead of with the manga. It checks off so many of my boxes: combining sports and romance, cohabitation, slow burn, a 2nd season.

Volume one of the manga is basically the entirety of what the first episode covered but a Pop Team Epic reference was slipped in.Can't say it's the first time I've spotted these girls outside their origin source...Remember Gushing Over Magical Girls?
