Oh yes, I think he calls her Fukawa in the games, but I remember him saying Touko in the Danganronpa 3 Anime. So maybe they just got a littler closer after some time? And yes, I agree. I really like that she calls him Byakuya instead of Togami.
I think they got closer with time! In DR3, they are able to video call him, and it seems like it’s something they have been doing as Fukawa jumps up and runs there like she knows it’s going to be him. In a scrapped DR3 ending scene due to time constraints, Togami went to Towa City to reunite with Komaru and Fukawa, and let’s be honest... Togami would have gone to see her, and it’s why there’s a lack of stuff for the ship in the last episode (it was planned, but left out). He could also sense her imagining a fantasy, and a friend of mine told me that in another Spike Chunsoft game, mind links showed that two characters were close.
Oh and I also think Kuja was the one who made Vivis children. I mean, of course they stayed back in the black mage village and Vivi was probably there a lot too so he must've met Kuja. Maybe they got along after some time but Vivi knew his time would come so he asked Kuja to made some new black mages so he would live on and Kuja gladly did it to undo some of his mistakes. I mean where else did they came from

I always had the headcanon that Zidane was able to get Kuja out of the Iifar Tree alive but both of them knew that Kuja hasn't that much time left. Therefore Zidane chosed to stay with Kuja until the faithful day so his brother could have some nice last days/month until he dies. (And that is the reason why it took so long for Zidane to return to Alexandria)
this is exactly my headcanon too omg. i refuse to believe that zidane’s willingness to sacrifice his own life for kuja was all for nothing. they did get out alive and kuja did get to experience some bit of happiness for the first (and last) time in his life. it absolutely explains the time skip, zidane wouldn’t just dawdle around letting his friends think he was dead for no reason. i like to think that they stayed in the black mage village with mikoto.
