four headcanons that i have about our muse's relationship // @behttys

at their homecoming, betty taught jughead how to slow dance. he was reluctant, but betty insisted it was the essential prom experience. he only did it because betty promised him milkshakes afterwards, but it ended up being nice.

out of the core four, jughead sends memes to betty the most, or anything that makes him laugh in general.

once a month, jughead and betty have a traditional food trip together. neither of them remember how it started but they go and travel out of riverdale to have a food trip, each of them picking a few places they've saved to visit.

jughead often falls asleep on betty's shoulder. when he's sitting next to anyone else, he might tilt his head back or get in all sorts of positions to fall asleep, but when he's sitting next to her, his head immediately tilts towards her shoulder.

"betty ... i could kill you or turn you!" veronica pushed betty's hands away, taking steps backward from her. "i almost drank your blood! i'm dangerous to you --- to everyone!" her voice began to break as she looked at her friend, scared and frightened at how she barely got a hold of herself from almost attacking reggie the night before. usually, betty's words could convince veronica --- but not this time. she was human before, but now she is ... a monster. "i can't be around anyone, i just can't. what if i attack someone, what if i kill someone?"

maybe he went too far, should have stopped himself while he was ahead. but, it's what he believes betty needs to hear, even if she thinks he's wrong, and even if seeing the hurt in his friend's eyes brings an ache in his chest. so, he remains indignant, digging his heels into the ground, metaphorically and literally.

his cheek blooms red with a sting like little pinpricks all over his skin. eyes blown wide open, a contrast to his usual hooded gaze, it takes him a moment to gain his composure and when he does, brows knit back together, refusing to back down.
