I took some time off from #marchmeetthemaker2018. There are moments I just need to unplug, so today I will do a little catching up. #beingamakermeans to me I can create everyday which allows me to be myself. It means I can be my own boss and work everyday or just one day. I love this freedom😉 As for #booksblogsandpodcasts, I only have a blog which I have not worked on for a long time, sorry. #marchmeetthemaker with @joannehawker 🌸 Day 25 - Being a Maker means..... being able to be creative! 💖🌼🌀✂️ I have always loved making things - my grandma taught me how to knit when I was very young and I enjoyed sewing classes at school. I have since tried my hand at many different evening classes including dressmaking, cake decorating with sugar paste and silver jewellery making (the start of my jewellery making journey)🧣👗🎂💍 More recently I have learnt how to crochet and attended a Shibori tie dyeing course which I loved. After all these years, my love of yarn and textiles seems to be returning and I find crochet so calming and relaxing 😌 As well as perfecting my own craft, I love to learn new skills and I particularly enjoyed making this delightful weaving kit that came with @molliemakes last year💕 #beingamakermeans #alwayslearning #newskills #weaving #loom #crafts #molliemakes #makersgonnamake #textiles
