The title in itself might faintly suggest an impending journey through the mind of an extremely chauvinistic individual..... However, the truth is far from it.
The title is meant to be sarcastic..... A satire on how society seems to deem certain things as normal... and anything that goes against those things, as abnormal.
Let me explain...
For instance, take the case of a guy who puts up a bunny as his profile picture....A guy who's above 18, a guy who is now on the cusp of entering into adulthood... into proper "manhood". Now, if society and peer pressure are anything to go by, as far as being a normal straight male is concerned, this guy is committing nothing but a sin....people are jeering at him and ridiculing him... Why? Because he chose to put up something cute and cuddly as his profile picture... Something that is, in their eyes, supposed to strictly be a girl thing alone.
But, take a moment to think about this.... What if the guy in question really got genuine joy and happiness from observing or looking up cute and cuddly things? What if that is his source of pleasure? Why is he not being able to share that joy without facing the ugly wrath of jokes and ridicule from his fellow peers?
This is just one of many instances in today's world. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, in today's world.... A world where we are supposed to have come a long way from silly age old traditions and beliefs... And yet, here we are... Nothing but a couple of Neanderthals pounding away on tiny glass screens.....
It is sad indeed, that society expects all males to be tough, to be strong, to have perfectly toned bodies, to hate the colour pink, to be rough and think rough, to suppress any and all tendencies to cry, day in and day out, 24/7.....
Does that mean that a flabby, emotional guy who doesn't hesitate to cry or express emotion, and who is wearing pink..... is any less a guy?
It's a glaring flaw in society.... Something scarily predominant in the media, among your friends, everywhere....
A flaw that is slowly eating away at the minds of the young and gullible... And turning them, nay, forcing them to be someone they aren't...
Just so that they can be as cool as Mark...
Or not get beaten up by Joe....
