5 months ago I left Zimbabwe to come restart life in the UK. People ask me if I miss the sunshine. Perhaps a little. But the thing I miss the most (by far) are the individuals in this photo. Not a day goes by without me feeling chocked up and sad to be missing their precious early years. Years I can never get back. I just hope I’m able to do well over here so that I can bring them over in a few years. This is Fluffy Blake. She was our coordinator at Weber State. She wore a different colored version of a purple wig the whole time we were there. I spied out what looked like a port scar and asked her where she was in her treatment. What came after was a conversation that can only transpire when you find a way to laugh at the unlaughable.
