Why don't you get a Modern Languages degree then? I mean, that's coming from a music/theater major so...feel free to ignore me. But if you do need someone to help you with multilanguage stuff I can help with German--I'm a bit rusty though.

because i also really really like chemistry and science in general too!! and there's also the fact that i'm blessed enough to be quite good at it so it doubles as an exciting opportunity to contribute to a field that sorely lacks female representation at the moment c:

and plus i'm not gonna lie--better job prospects. like maybe it shouldn't really matter because ok yeah follow your dreams hurrah hurrah but no actually coming from a lower-income and immigrant background job/income security kind of matter a whole heckalot??

like as much as i really love languages and music and art and literature and geography and so on, the choice is pretty clear for me.

(thank you for the offer to help, though!! conversation partners and stuff might help a lot once i get back into the swing of german in the fall. right now i'm just kind of rusty as hell too, to the point that it's actually kind of embarrassing oops)

Anonymous is right you know, you are really quite fantastic and I don't remember how I found your tumblr but I am ever so glad I did and someday we should actually hang out IRL because I do believe we could have interesting conversations and tea (or coffee, if that's your thing. or biscuits. I would offer you jammy dodgers but alas, America). But main point being, you seem like a very wonderful human being.

You are quite fantastic, too! And we should hang out. I miss seeing a bunch of awesome people now that I no longer have that theater minor. We definitely would have some interesting conversations; we like a lot of the same things :)

So! New name, just thought I'd let you know.

I decided to change my blog name/whatever to "beingenerosa" which is a mix of "being" and "generosa," in case you couldn't tell. But sometimes when the people I follow change their names I get really confused so I thought I should let y'all know. TA DA. It might be a little dorky, but I've wanted to change it for a while now and I feel like it fits. I've been asplendidtorch (since sometime in April of last year I think? Whenever I first made my blog) for so long, I felt like maybe I'm not that person anymore.
