So I was looking through the Irus asks and saw one that said he would reject MC's proposal just so that he can propose himself (???) So I was wondering how the other ROs and our family would react if MC came to them, looking sad/crying because Irus rejected their proposal...

Only to come back a few days later, confused/mad because "he rejected me because he wanted to propose to me and, of course, I said yes but is he really this petty??"

Would Elora even be surprised that Irus would pull this sort of bs?

Irus has spent months working on that perfect proposal and he usually never puts this much effort into anything, so he really, really wants to propose 😅

Elora: She's probably known about Irus' proposal plans for a while so she'll comfort the MC as best as she can while telling them to get used to this kind of crazy.

Oren: Oren will be weeping alongside the MC but comforting them as well. He doesn't care so much as what Irus does but would be upset to see the MC upset.

Anu: Anu would be flabbergasted as to why the MC even said yes then offer to beat Irus up to teach him a lesson.

Zikar: He's annoyed at Irus but will remind the MC that they'll be royalty soon.

Belahm and Siduri: Happy for the MC - they don't care how the proposal happened only that at least someone is finally getting married in the family (not to name and shame Zikar).

Salyra: She'll comforting the MC but will in private have a few choice words to say to Irus.

I got a fun question, how would salyra and the rest of the family and the ros feel about an mc who's on good terms with Rana teaching her self defense? More specifically teaching her to kick her bullies in "family jewels"

There's a lot of different ways that each of the characters will react so I'll list them alongside how they'd feel seeing the MC teaching Rana self-defence.

Happy/Proud/Supportive: Vinia family, Salyra, all ROs.

Jealous/Petty (of the MC spending time to teach Rana self-defence): Zikar, Irus and sometimes Anu because she knows she's a better fighter.

Amused/Affectionate: Irus, Elora, Oren, Belahm.

Apprehensive: Danzor.

So Salyra mentions that she and Danzor or were childhood friends (and it mentions elsewhere that he was basically just pining for her the whole time Ahlf and MC were still in the picture) so I’m curious: did he know the rest of the Vinia family from back then, and if so how pissed is Belahm at him as well for his role in this?

Because I can’t imagine that even if Bel didn’t notice his pining when they were younger, he would take well to Danzor swooping in and starting a new family while Sal intentionally left hers behind, including a new child to take the place of one left in Cyre instead of with their actual family. Could definitely see a still angry Bel’s perspective if that situation being that Danzor as…not a homewrecker per say, but someone who was more than content to get what he always wanted (Salyra and a family with her) at the expense of everyone else in her life. “Of course you’ll blindly defend her, if she hadn’t abandoned us you would still be pining for the woman who loved a Blood Guard General before she had no choice but to go back to you.”

Danzor did know the Vinia family back in the good old days 😅 He was Salyra's childhood friend so he was almost like family before everything went so horribly wrong.

So... pining is the right word but I won't say it wasn't reciprocated by Salyra 👀 Salyra and Danzor sort of, maybe had a thing before she and Ahlf became a thing 😅 Belahm isn't exactly angry at Danzor for swooping in because he expected it to have happened since he was there during the early pining days when Salyra and Danzor were still teens.

Let's just say that Salyra became a priestess, Danzor became an Ishari warrior and because of their time apart, their relationship ended but more because long-distance was hard, not because they fell out of love. During their time apart, the Blood Guard attacked, Ahlf was eventually captured by Salyra and the warriors who guarded the temple which resulted in a somewhat forced attempt at a relationship/peace/unity by Salyra marrying Ahlf.

Ahlf and Salyra ended up actually falling in love and that's when Danzor returned to Urur only to find his former love now with Ahlf and the rest is history. I realised that I rambled a lot but now you know their origin story 😆

I'm just sitting here reading all these Rana asks like "I think I'm the only one being mean to Rana..."😬

I do have 2 questions though. How would the Vinia family feel if MC put some hard boundaries in place that they didn't want to see or hear about Sal's family once this was all over and that they didn't want Sal or her family to hear about them? Like no family get together no pictures if MC's visiting they better not be there and if they break the boundaries MC goes no contact.

Question 2 during dinner when MC comes back and Rana is there they can be mean at first, but then there's a moment when Rana learns that (in my playthrough) Irus and MC are together that MC just kind of answers the question and there's no mean response option. Will there be a mean response to her question or will it stay as is? ( not that it's a problem. I love the story, but for some reason going from an Mc who's raging at her to then a neutral response felt a little ooc for my MC)

I understand why people would hate Rana but as the objective writer I am, I love Rana 😂

With the no contact boundaries in place, Belahm and Zikar would be supportive of this. It's really Siduri who will have a hard time honouring the MC's boundaries of not wanting to be with Salyra and her family because Siduri just wants everyone to get along. She hasn't experienced the same abandonment as the MC by Salyra so she doesn't fully understand why the MC would want to have no contact at all with Salyra and her family.

It's probably my rushed state of writing that there's no mean options afterwards. I tend to hate writing mean options because they're hard to write for characters who don't do anything to justify them 😅 That and trying to get the update out in a reasonable time means that a lot of choices/scenes are just left out for edits at a later stage. This is helpful because it's something I can go back to add in to flesh out the dialogue choices more and so it doesn't take players out of the character they're playing. I'll be editing the chapters one-by-one so I hope to add things players would have liked to have chosen (and that reasonably fits the plot) once I start polishing up the game.

i think you've touched on pretty much every family member's thoughts on the ro's but i can't seem to find anything about our favorite uncle. not sure if that's just tumblr search feature being tumblr search feature but now i'm curious: does uncle belahm have any particularly strong feelings towards one ro or another like salyra or zikar (at first), or is he more in the ama camp of 'as long as mc's happy we'll find some way to get along'?

i know he can kind of step in and defend the relationship if salyra decides family dinner is the best time to question mc's relationship, but that honestly felt more like him (understandably) jumping on the opportunity to call her out on her hypocrisy than it did a defense of whichever ro she's being critical of 😅😅

Belahm doesn't really care. He likes all of the ROs and he's really just happy if the MC is happy. If they hurt the MC, he'd be there beside Zikar to jump to the MC's defence but other than that, he's an easy-going guy and won't mind who the MC wants to date 😊

How's would the family react to an mc that's cold as ice to Danzor and the mother and like whiplash turns into a gushing older brother that treats Rena like their little princess.

Had an older brother similar to this it both made me laugh and worry for him, always gave everyone in our immediate family whiplash when he switches between them. Our dynamic isn't exactly the same as the story but similar

The ROs all understand the MC and the complicated dynamics between them and Salyra and why they would have an easier time bonding with Rana.

That said, Siduri, Danzor and Salyra would be the most confused about an MC acting this way. Siduri wants everyone to get along with each other, while Salyra thinks the MC is trying to punish her more but is just happy the MC is spending time with Rana. Danzor will be apprehensive in general thinking this is some big ploy to hurt their family.

Zikar and Belahm are always Team MC so they'd be the most understanding about why the MC would be accepting to Rana.

(Part 2 lol) and can i just march up to vivain (spelling???) Family with an adoption form and make uncle b and aunty y my parents now?? Plsthx. I get sal thought she was doing "right" but. Yeah no my mc mourned her mother years ago and deserves to have a family who. Is there for her. And thats with her wife elora and her bros irus and oren. Also is cousin z younger/older than mc??? Cant wait for my polite but firm mc to just. Never go back to ishari. And sal and her man. Rana can come visit 🥰

Unfortunately, you can't get adopted now being an adult but in Chapter 9, you will get the entire family together in Ishari and you'll find that Belahm and Zikar are definitely Team MC so they've already accepted the MC as part of their family.

Zikar is Elora's age, so he's younger than the MC by about 2 years. Don't mention it to him though or he'll go on and on about how the MC isn't very experienced in life because they grew up in Cyre, so really, Zikar could be considered the older one.

Since we're talking about it, we know Rana empathizes with MC's situation with Salyra once she's old enough to understand the full breadth of it, but does that also extend to the hurt she caused for the Vinia family too? Or is there a bit more distance there given Belahm's - and to a lesser extent, Zikar's - issues with Sal? (PS Not sure if you've mentioned where they're at with her after the events of the game, if you have I apologize for tumblr search feature being tumblr search feature and hiding it from me ahaha)

Rana can see why the Vinia family would be hurt and she would definitely empathise with them, but she's not going to cut off Salyra because of the hurt Salyra caused them whereas with the MC, she'd be more probe to distancing herself from Salyra.

The reason being is that Rana believes that the MC suffered more than Belahm, who was an adult when he fled with Siduri. Zikar never met Salyra until he arrived in Ishari, so Rana wouldn't feel too strongly about their pain.
