A) I am sooo sick of seeing this guy in literally everything, just because he's "popular" at the moment. He was in Star Trek (which was a mistake, plain and simple. Yes he was decent in the role, but the role should have gone to someone faaaaar more suited to play the established role of Khan, and don't even get me started on that fucking accent, but I digress...), he was in The Hobbit, except it was literally just his voice, and people still acted like they were gonna orgasm watching the movie just because his name was attached to it somehow (see point D for further info)..., and now Marvel, and yeah, I'm pissed. Personally, I don't think he's a great actor and also I don't appreciate his face so this is really getting to me.

B) As with Khan in Star Trek, there is literally nothing that ties him to this character, not one single thing. The beauty of the casting of the Marvel movies thus far (at least mostly) is that the casting is usually so dead on. I mean, how many posts are there floating around Tumblr about how you can't tell if it's Tony Stark or Robert Downey Jr. at any given time during press tours and such??? Or about how Chris Evans is just as much a sweet puppy with a bangin' bod as Steve Rogers?? I could go on (and on and on and on), but you get my point. Thus far (again, mostly), a lot of the actors have a pretty deep connection to the characters they play, and even if they don't, they are just that good that they can pull it off. Benedict? NOPE. Here is the character synopsis of Doctor Strange. Again, they have nothing in common, not even physically. And again, I do not think Benedict is a strong enough actor to pull it off, because he didn't in Star Trek and I'm still pissed as hell about that too, so.

C) Okay, so, I'll just go ahead and say it: Doctor Stephen Strange is white. He was born to Eugene and Beverly Strange in Philadelphia in 1930, and he grew up in rural Nebraska. His parents were farmers. But, obviously, a lot of the artists who have worked on his comics have given him slightly darker skin (although if you look through pictures of him, sometimes he's a lot whiter and sometimes not), but he's still white. (Not that I care though; I was 100000% behind a lot of the POC fan castings for this character which is part of why I'm pissed. Any of them would have been 100000% better than Bendydick Cucumberpatch.) That said, buddy boy Benedict is like... uber white. Seriously, he is like the whitest of the white, and has a posh British accent to boot. Nothing about him screams 'Dr. Strange' to me (and to a lot of other people, given the response to this news). He's too young or at least looks it (imo at least), and he's just this little twig of a guy, which Dr. Strange is totally not, and if he were any whiter he'd be translucent. Again, there is literally nothing about him that makes him seem like the right choice for this role.

And finally, D) a lot of his fans are really fucking annoying.

My best friend's mom is like that lady, and my friend laughs a lot bc we speak about rdj like an entire hour while my friend is looking at us confused and concerned at the same time

Haha my friend is always concerned about me whenever I talk about RDJ cuz I can literally talk about him for hours it's like I can't shut up. It's good though to have friends that will put up with us haha
