Your best friend is sitting next to you staring at Kevin in the high school cafeteria. He has your food because you can eat at home and he typically can’t. That’s fine. You’re watching Kevin with him.

He has this weird obsession with the bible thumpers and you want to know why but you suspect it has something to do with innocence. While he talks about banging Kevin you sit back, let your foot slip forward on the bloody floor. You’re staring Miguel. Trying to figure out what you could do that would make you more like Kevin so he’d stop acting like you’re just a backup. Last night he invited you over to his house and you’re still hurting from the weird position in which he fucked you. 

Ahead of you both you can see Grace and Sarah and Grace is staring at you like you’re worthless while Sarah looks at you like you’re sad. Pathetic. One of them alerts Kevin and he turns back to glare at you both with dead eyes, and you can feel the weight of everyone hating you sink your shoulders so you look at the one person who doesn’t, even if it’s only in secret, and you put your pen back to paper where you can focus on the citric acid cycle instead of their faces.

Hello Brandon! I heard you'd been having some hard times with your friend and I just came to say that if you ever need anything, any emotional support or any of that sort of thing, that I'm here for you!
