Scaled and Icy Observation

Ok ok ok this is gonna sound wild and is probably a coincidence but hear me out:

Is it just me, or are there a bunch of similarities between the new album and Welcome to Night Vale?? Cause the overly fake cheesiness, the nothing's bad, everything is fantastic, don't look to close, everything is fine vibes, especially from the Good Day DEMA bits, just oozes Desert Bluffs. Sally Sacarver in it is straight up how I picture Lauren from StrexCorp.

And in Redecorate, there's the bit in the second verse about the girl who covers her mirrors, cause "She's not afraid of her reflection/But of what she might see behind it". And isn't that kinda what Cecil does? Like in Cassette little Cecil sees something in the mirror and something terrible happens so he always has his mirrors covered???
