i don't know if it's just me, or if ㄴ is actually pronounced as ㄷ sometimes. like in 누구. if it is, are there rules for when this happens? thank you!
I think in dramas sometimes because of like “aegyo” and trying to sound cuter, some words with ㄴ sound more…nasal or like..more deep in the throat (? I’m not quite sure how to explain it) which may sound like as in your example word above, nugu (meaning who) is pronounced as dugu. HOWEVER, and I will stand by this until the end of time, ㄴ is NEVER pronounced as ㄷ in real life, or even in dramas/shows for that matter. It may sound like it is, but in reality, no one would actually pronounce ㄴ as a ㄷ. So, if you’ve been saying nugu for all your korean learning life, awesome! Just do that because you will be 100% right! But if you’ve been saying ㄷ instead…..honey WHAT! is you doin? Hahaha nah but in all honesty, ㄴ is always ㄴ. Never ㄷ. Have a nice day and keep watching drama!
