Happy 7th birthday to one of our very favorite people… Olivia!!! 💖 Olivia is a phenomenal young person… kind, silly, loving, generous, smart, and thoughtful! She decided to go vegan at age 5 because she loved animals and proudly tells her teacher and friends why she doesn’t eat animal products! She’s even encouraged her school to have more vegan options in the cafeteria and they are now carrying #vegan chicken nuggets at school on Mondays! 🙌 When Cromwell was in the hospital, Olivia was very concerned. She decided to start a lemonade stand and raised over $100 to help with his medical care costs! She and her equally wonderful Mom, Ashley, have also started adopting former battery-cage hens and giving them a wonderful, loving home. In the age of social media when you put yourself out there for the world to see, it can get bloody scary and feeling fucking vulnerable. When I started @bloodygirlgang I wanted to be as authentic as I can as an artist, a woc, a migrant among many hats that I wear. I wanted to share unapologetic stories of the marginalized to the world where people can be unkind and unaware of the privileges they have - particularly in the Bay Area that’s highly gentrified and infested with jerks. . If you had seen previous posts, I’m going through some rough times... and out of the blue this sweet angel patron - Olivia, sent love and ☕️ money via @Venmo and revived the little hope I had in humanity.
