Silksong act 3 spoilers (possibly)
"...Our family...""...Our power...""...All ours...""...Remember..."
Oh boy this spent a bit too long in the works! I was having doubts at first but after pushing through for about 7 hours total I'm glad I got this done! (this is your sign to trust the process if you're making something right now).
I didn't know whether to go for the white lady or the snail shamans for this crest but ended up going for the snail shamans (maybe I'm saving her for a future project...)
Anyhow, enjoy the Shaman's Crest design!

I was understanding earlier when I was just in the upper portions of the Citadel trying to fight my way through broken bits of rubble and voided enemies. After seeing exactly how badly things are I am no longer understanding. What the hell were you guys thinking, modifying the snare like that??
*trying to keep a stern expression despite them all looking incredibly, very silly*
That is not all you did
Again, what the hell were you all thinking?!?
NO I did not have a hunch that magicians who've been around long enough to know of Hornet's family's "fixations" would've watched what happened to the Pale King and thought, "hmm, that's a good idea, we should do that! Sure fixed his problem!"
Also I did go back and look over Snail Shaman's dialogue in Hollow Knight with that line of "our family's fixations," as I thought they were mainly concerned with Soul, not Void, and it's been a long while since I played the game so maybe I had forgotten something.
From what I can see he gets initially interested in the Knight modifying Vengeful Spirit into Shade Soul, and then comes across a bit more wary when they modify Howling Wraiths into Abyss Shriek.
"That scream? Ooohh, distorted in such a way... It's not within the skills of us snails to do such a thing. Wherever you draw this new power from, it's not a place my kind ever thought to look."
Though Shade Soul definitely feels more Void-like, that gets acquired through the Soul Sanctum, while Abyss Shriek is tied to the Void itself.
So still no, I did not have any inclination to believe that Snail Shamans would be dabbling with harnessing even a tiny bit of the VOID.
By literally any other method, not swapping out the frying pan for going directly into the flame.
Ohhhh god damn it.
Okay at least Lace is still alive theoretically then. We go and somehow rescue her and then hopefully that. Fixes it. Somehow. I don't know I don't think it'll be easy to get the Void to vacate now that it's here. Probably will need an additional plan.
Is Embrace the Void canon for this timeline? Can we somehow commune with the Knight/Shade Lord??
okay fine to the Deep Docks. Soon.
You guys better think of a way to help fix your mess in the mean time!!
