The hard part is finding somewhere to fit in. Yeah, yeah! We know! You wanna stand out, be different and you're not like everyone else! That's cute! But does it make you happy or is it just enough gas to fuel your ego?
Belongingness is a great part of who you are and without that full sense of community, there is emptiness in your routine. Being nontraditional breaks mold sometimes. Other times, it may just rattle the ground. Either way, you can be different and still find somewhere to fit in. That's why there's diversity and multicultural beings. We need both. Be different enough to have something to offer, but having someone who understands you because you talked and they listened and cared enough to assist or just learn more about you is why being the same is just as important.
