He felt his heart speed up and closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. He wanted to trust Bells– he did, actually, trust her more than he probably should– but being trapped had always left him feeling far more anxious than he wanted. “You’re um… stronger than you look,” he said, opening his eyes to look up at her. He knew that already, but this was certainly a reminder.
She smirked, arms draping over his shoulder as she grabbed her left wrist. He wasn’t trapped, not really, he could have easily ducked out of her arms and pushed her away, but she was hoping he wouldn’t. “Yeah, yeah, not important. What is important, however, is I got you a present!”
