15 for the deep or dark secret

Does your character have a deep and/or dark secret? If so, what is it?

“I find it difficult to discern what would really be considered a ‘dark secret’,” Bella starts, scrunching up her nose and eyebrows in thought. “I’m pretty open about what I talk about, although I might as well share something.”

“These scars?” The elf motions to the large, round scar on her left cheek and pulls back her shirt to show smaller, similarly shaped pustule-scars on her upper back and shoulders. “These are from when I accidentally had a plague vial break on me.”

“Luckily I had been a test subject for a couple... safer antidotes, so my body didn’t turn to complete mush, but I still died.” Bella trailed off for a second, seemingly losing track in her story, but she shook her head. “A warlock friend of mine thought it would be funny to toss my soul into an undead proto drake, but my sister found out and blackmailed him into putting my soul back into my body.”

“So, long story short, I’m part undead, and yeah, that affects my Light usage to near-none. Not like I was able to use it much, anyway, but... yeah!”

(( Bella has great taste in fashion, but doesn’t see the use or purpose for it outside formal events, to which she very rarely goes. She finds her three outfits (battle/stand-by, comfort, and sleep) useful enough, and anything else too extravagant.

Strangely enough, she swaps out jewellery pieces all the time, even when readying for combat, and it’s uncommon to see the same piece on her twice in a month. ))

Happy TMI Tuesday! Where does Rosalie see herself in 10 years?

(( Rose sees herself, currently, doing much as her mother did- Caring for her spouse and child. Although, her dreams include a bit more adventure than bake-offs and military practices. 

She plans on taking them (or at the very least her daughter) out to complete the quest Bella started (developing/testing/completing/administering the anti-plague), but she’s quite a bit from that, still. ))

Using the Offical Timeline, When the First war was going on, Bella was about sixty-three. As far as I know, the elves of Quel’thalas weren’t all that involved in the war, and Bella hadn’t left yet.

The Second War went on when Bella was sixty-nine, and at this point Bella’s father and mother were around less and less. Bella didn’t know why. The truth was that as more elves left to join the war effort, people’s businesses would lower their prices, so her father and step-mother would go around, trying to purchase up the low-priced stock. 

This would prove useful for the family in the Third War, where Bella was eighty-nine and her superiors had just about given up in training her. The thought of a war actually coming onto home soil frightened the elves, and her father sold the goods at exorbitant prices. 

Her father escaped the Wrath of the Lich King (hah) by teleporting his family away, accidently leaving behind his youngest child in a much more saddening version of Home Alone (where the kid gets brutally murdered and the entire home destroyed). The extra money helped the family pay for a temporary home in Theramore, but Bella left when she turned ninety, fleeing to the Eastern Kingdoms to try to save her sister in the way of finding an anti-plague (which Bella thought she was afflicted by, but was not).

Do they have tattoos, piercings, or other body modifications? Where and when did they get them, and what significance do these modifications have?

Bella doesn’t have tattoos, but her ear lobes are pierced. She got them around fifty-eight years of age, right around when she expressed her liking of jewelry. She got them so she could try on her products (and sometimes even keep them if she liked them too much!). 

In her AU, she has multiple ear piercings along the top and near the base, mainly to tie her ears together behind her head so she can put on a helmet without too much fidgeting.

39: Describe how they feel about other controversial classes, such as mages, warlocks, shaman, or the various versions of priests and paladins.

Bella feels no enmities towards mages. They can do whatever they want, and she could literally care less. She also finds no ill-will with shamans, either.

Warlocks? She feels they’re a necessary evil- tainting themselves to help control the ever-present demonic forces. She doesn’t like them, but she appreciates the thought of them, if they could be nice.

She doesn’t like Death Knights in general, as she sees them as murder machines. She sees little else in them.

She finds the Draenei Priests/Priestesses and the Tauren Paladins to be the most noble in terms of wielding the Light, and the Undead Priests/Priestesses the best in using the Shadow.She finds the thought of using the Shadow as a Priest tactic to be very intriguing, and she, herself wants to learn how to use it in the future.

However, her least favourite Paladin sect is, of course, the Blood Knights. She’s tired of being in a life-debt to them, in a round-about way of blackmail.

88, 89, 90, and 91?

Were they on one of the first voyages to Pandaria, or did they travel there afterwards, if at all?

Did they work closely with any of the factions of Pandaria?

What was their first impression of the pandaren? Either the Tushui or Huojin pandaren, or the natives from the mainland.

Do the teachings of any of the August Celestial especially resonate with them?

“Sadly, I haven’t gotten the chance to go to Pandaria at all, yet! My sister did, and I think my wife did, but I’ve never had the chance to go. After this Iron Horde nonsense is taken care of, that’s probably the first place I’ll head to!

“I’ve met mostly Huojin Pandaren, but during my travels to Shattrath and Stormwind I’ve watched some Tushui go about their work. The Huojin seem quite... well, I’m not entirely sure, really. I bet they both have their pros and cons. I bet they both have their sense of honour as well as things they hold dear to them.

“However, I have spoken to quite a few monks on my journeys, be they pandaren or otherwise, and I’d think Chi’ji most resonates with me. Hope shines within- bringing me to do things I never could have before. Hope was honestly the thing that brought me out of my dreariness when my master died. Chi’ji just... inspires people, protecting them from doubt, no? And that’s doubly important in Pandaria, I hear.”
