It was a bitter feeling he had, one that wouldn't leave him no matter how hard he tried. And oh how he tried, he was always trying. Always. But always wasn't enough and the feelings always came back. The feelings of hatred and the feeling of loneliness. The former was easy to ignore- he only cared about what his family though of him- and surely they didn't hate him, right? The uncertainty in that statement brought force the next feeling. Loneliness.

 His existence- it wasn't valued. They managed perfectly fine on their own. They didn't need him. They wouldn't miss him. They were fine and he was not. From his room he could here his door open as someone came in- he had left the door unlocked- yet he didn't dare move from his spot against the wall. If they had something to say, they could say it, but he was tired of putting on a facade.
