So again, we have moved into another uncertain period for weddings, bars, clubs, and all the vendors involved. It is understandable considering the surge in the daily covid numbers and unfortunate that our government and health officials didn’t see this coming. However, me must remain positive and have the belief that we can overcome this bump in the road just as we have all the previous bumps over the last few years.
The good news for weddings is that if a venue has an exclusive wedding they can proceed with the normal times as planned. This time of year is usually busy time for Christmas parties and unfortunately the most of our parties have been cancelled as the hotel managers cannot take the chance of clients cancelling in the last minute or perhaps spreading the virus at a gathering.
.On a happier note, we look forward to our first wedding in the stunning Bellinter House, Navan County Meath on Friday. Then on Saturday Morning I go to a church in Castledermot, County Kildare for a wedding ceremony. When I’m finished playing at the ceremony, I make my way back to Carrick across and perform with my band for the “Switching On of the Christmas Lights”. I then finish off the night with a solo performance in the beautiful Nuremore Hotel at 9.30pm. My last performances will be on Sunday Afternoon in “Gerrys Bar” Carolanstown from 4.30pm.
so thankfully a busy weekend in store for myself and the band and I’m hoping the these numbers of cases decrease dramatically over the next two weeks in the hope that we all can enjoy a great Christmas and look forward to better new year.
