Ok so I’ve said this to skywardfloored before to, but if u want Warriors angst here it is:
Imagine: like HW Zelink, but like the princess was forced to marry another royal because wars were getting so costly. And they get married and stuff, right, but like the child she gave birth to wasn’t actually the king’s. And imagine if there is beef between Link and Zelda’s husband—like he hates him, for no reason and so many reasons. And this dude isn’t even a good husband or necessarily a good king, let alone a good father.
Imagine at a distance, or when the king wasn’t looking link kinda helped raised the kid.
And he was more of a father than the kind was, and the kid gets really attached to the Hylian captain. And Zelda just watches at a distance sharing a few soft glances at Link that almost look heart broken
And then the one day the King realizes this kid isn’t even his biological son, and he takes it out on Link and sends him to the most gruesome war, and makes sure he fights on the front lines
And Zelda is completely shattered and before he leaves, she actually meets with him in secret only to reveal to him that they have a son together.
And Link actually ends up surviving the war, BECUASE he was supper motivated to stay alive to see his son—even tho he can’t say anything
And THE TENSION GETS WORST
Because the king wanted him gone. Now he literally wants to finish Link off. It’s a whole royal drama, he emotionally abused Zelda throughout their marriage and Link hates him for that because duh, it’s the woman he loves.
But then this whole story ends in a cliff hanger, when the kid himself, starts to realize similarities between himself and the Hylian captain…
