Do you think Chibnall will write River? She’s never been written by anyone but Moffat and I was kind of expecting/hoping to get a final farewell to her character in Moffat’s final episode. It could be really exciting to see her with Thirteen though and to have her story continue. I suppose other writers have written her in other stories… what are your feelings?

I don’t think Chibnall will go there. I think, like I also expressed in my last ask, the show is really going for a fairly clean break. Everything that has been expressed about this new series of Doctor Who suggests that he’s going for new and bold - and after casting Jodie Whittaker, I’m actually going to begin to buy it.

(Aternatively, he should hire Jenny Colgan to do an episode with River, that would be great, she’s done a fantastic job for Big Finish.)

Anti apocalypse shield could totally be a thing... ALIE said that there would be like 4% of the earth that would be safe, and no one has brought that up again... maybe the promo shot is of Clarke trying to contact her space buddies and tell them to pls come back because she's lonely and thanks to apocalypse shield they won't die? And that could explain the trees... I'm also team don't let Clarke Griffin be alone for 5 years, so maybe it's wishful thinking lol

That would be very neat and very convenient which is probably why it’s most certainly 500% wishful thinking. The writers love torturing us. Clarke’s life is tragic. She’s totally going to be abandoned. *starts screaming internally and will never stop*

Presumably that was in reference to this post. It was about a particular work that appears to be entirely based on multiple arbitrary yet increasingly specific categorizations and rules, hence pure uncut Ti. I don’t really have any thoughts about functions in reference to fandom commentary; this only came up in the context of fandom commentary because due to those categories and rules people tend to apply it to other works that I actually like.
