17. teasing / sensual kiss - valerie.
it’s all a game. not the kind she would play as a girl - fleeting, innocent, all to feed. it’s another she was taught into her years as a woman, honed to perfection under wing of a man who benefited financially from a trick or two. these days, however, she’s reclaiming the game for her own : for valerie, and whoever she’s decided to play with. lately her muse has been entirely him. a glorified dog with all the right edges and just enough restraint to provide a challenge and just enough impulse to feed her interest.
there’s a feigned innocence in curious eyes, a mockery of what she’s never quite owned. it follows her inspection, those damned wandering hands roaming from shoulder to arms to chest. thighs grip tightly around his hips, trapping him in place with little room to shift. sometimes she likes when her prey gives fight, sometimes she prefers them malleable and still. for now, she wants the latter, content with spending far too much time keeping him waiting.
when she finally dips low, a gentle sweep of curls shielding either side of him, it’s more bite than kiss. an initial firm press of scarlet - painted lips, quickly interrupted by teeth sinking into his lower lip, tugging away. he smells overwhelmingly of cigarette smoke, tastes of it too, but she’s never brought herself to mind. concealed fangs do not bury deep enough to draw blood, although hard enough to inevitably bruise and swell. she releases, ghosting over him with shallow breaths as she denies him the contact a moment longer.
a grin infects expression, slowly curling into existence as she mutters a soft ‘ good boy ‘ against him, relenting to kiss fully, warm and unyielding.
4. nuzzle kiss - madeline.
it’s not a fully conscious gesture. in fact, she’s flirting with the line of consciousness herself. unlike many, she requires her sleep. a lulling rest to recharge and energize after draining away what power she possessed. and she was tired, terribly so - a product of overworking and straining to pull every ounce of her magic she could. at some point, she had fallen into a half - doze. not fully asleep, but hardly considered awake. vaguely aware of her surroundings, yet too entranced in the beckoning of sleep to move. and at some point during that doze, she had slumped to the side, catching on him and settling against an arm.
warm, comforting : it wasn’t often she was permitted to indulge in physical contact that did not result of her job. madeline has always been a particularly affectionate soul, craving connection and fondness. so for as long as he would allow her, she would remain. a gentle huff of breath slips through her lips, devolving into a subtle rumbling in her chest, something that almost resembles a purr. there’s a terrible lingering scent that exudes off of him, all chemical and smoke. but it’s grounding, an anchor to reality that keeps her drifting in and out of consciousness with the faint reminder that she’s real, alive, and not alone for the first time in a long time.
sometime between her fade in and out of slumber, that false purr sound resonates again, followed by the soft nuzzling of her face against the arm she’s claimed as a pillow. a natural caution keeps her horn from stabbing into him, even in her dream - like state, and she buries herself into the fabric of his shirt, a sleepy kiss pressed into his shoulder as she does.
