What is something you and Barou agree on very well and what is one thing you often disagree on?

Do you guys ever argue?

One thing we agree on is ensuring that we have at least a couple hours every day to hang out. This can be us doing something together, or just parallel play where I'm like playing a game and he's watching. If he's traveling for a match and I'm not with him, then it's phone calls - but only if time zones allow it. We're not forcing the other to miss sleep, we can always make up for lost time later.

The disagreement is easy, but I talk too much about how he wants me unemployed so I'll pick a different one. One thing we tend to disagree on (that is kinda stupid) is home decor. I like to go ALL OUT for Christmas and Halloween and he's not into all that, but I also am constantly sending him little DIY house projects like up-cycling old furniture into something we don't have a need for. "Did you see the reel I sent?" is a trap and he knows it but he always answers honestly because yes he did and he's preparing to talk me out of another project or redecoration attenpt.

We argue about cooking the most it's so annoying. He can take care of himself but bro is NOT chef boyardee and he has a kinda strict diet and apparently I don't cook like his mom (but she loves my cooking so sybau). And I'm not picky but I get tired of repeat meals after like two days so I'll mix up the previously agreed upon meal schedule, and my spice tolerance isn't the best and sometimes he over seasons with the spicier seasonings. At least once a week one of us is complaining about food.

That fucking guy took the last three apples while I was also trying to get one of the apples in that display. Which like okay, whatever, there are more apples in the store I’ll settle for a different kind.

THEN he has the nerve to ask if I need help reaching the peppers because they were on a higher rack. I am NOT that short 😠 but I do have to get on my toes to reach so I mean whatever but then he just causally grabs a couple anyway and puts them in my basket before walking away.

Then for like three weeks I see him at the store and my internal monologue is just “there’s fucking grocery store guy, being tall and taking all the apples again”. He actually introduces himself to me when we’re at the registers together because he sees me everywhere apparently and wants a name to the face. He remains grocery store guy in my phone until three months into dating, then he gets to be Grocery Store Guy 🥰

Leventurine is complicated in short.

In a bit more detail it’s work acquaintances to friends to lovers to exes to lovers again with a bit of stockholm syndrome sprinkled in. I’m his good luck charm, newest reason for breathing, a home he thought he might never have. To me he’s initially just a benefactor, then he becomes a safe haven only to become unsafe then safe once more (again, complicated but also it gets dark). Two tools of the IPC finding purpose in another, two lonely souls finding a love with a definition so ridiculously misshaped by warped life experiences that it’s a miracle it works at all.

It’s almost like the joy you get listening to heavy rain outside but in a room that’s just barely too cold to be comfortable to stay in for long, and you can always grab a blanket but it might be a bit scratchy but you deal with it anyway because you want to stay and listen to the rain.
