{singing LEECHES by Melanie Martinez for Mammon }
A/N:i have nothing to say today😅🤣💞
⚠️warning⚠️:none !!!
In the soft evening light, Belphegor's cat café busked with whispers and purrs.
Customers, curled up in plush armchairs, petted the lazy felines while a modest stage awaited its performer.
Tonight, it was Belphegor herself, usually sins of laziness, but today she was ready to deliver.
She approached the microphone, looking detached, but his gaze betrayed a familiar weariness.
Among the customers, Mammon was there, seated at a table, surrounded by golden cats, his swaggering smile but his eyes worried. Belphegor took a deep breath and began to sing "LEECHES" ,his soft but sharp voice floating in the air.
Leeches surrounded, conscience is throbbing
They can't sleep at night, hold their pillows tight
Caught in the rivers of the tears that I cried
Bountiful harvest, they flock to my garden
Push their way inside, I go run and hide
They lift all the covers, pull me into their sight
Every word, every note, vibrated with a bitter truth.
For Belphegor, Mammon was that insatiable brother, always seeking more, never satisfied, even at the expense of others.
She thought of all the times Mammon had taken advantage of his kindness, when he had dipped into his reserves without ever giving anything back, except trouble or excuses.
How much blood can you draw
With your claws from a flesh that's not yours?
My hands aren't yours, and
Gnaw on my bones, no marrow left
To keep you enthralled
I guess that is the luck of the draw
Silence fell at the end of the song.
Mammon looked away, uneasy, understanding that this performance was dedicated to him.
Yet, behind the resentment, there was also, in Belphegor's voice, a deep sadness.
Belphegor put down the microphone and met Mammon's gaze.
No words were necessary; everything had been said, to music, under the indifferent gaze of the cats.
In this cat café, the truth had found its place, carried by a song and a sigh.
I hoooope youuu likkke iiiit!!💜💞
