It's a little late now, but it's important to remember some animals are scared by loud noises. This is my dogs first fourth of July and has done fantastic all evening. I took him to the tennis court to run because it has gates that close and some people thought it would be funny to set off firecrackers right next to us. It put him into a panic attack and now we're sitting at home with a 100lb dog in my lap while he shakes and whines. I am aware this is partially my fault, but they saw the dog and made a choice to be an ass. Fourth of July is a time to celebrate, but be mindful of animals and humans that can't handle loud noises due to past trauma and/or mental disorders
