Some more details (trivia) about ML characters: Again, this is my personal opinion. For as much I've seen in the story and heard about it. So...
- As the description says, Vladimir is an authoritative figure. Commanding, intimidating and self-confident. Likely to be respected and obeyed. Considered to be the best of its kind. Able to be trusted and reliable. Hides probably a dark past and has spent most of his life living alone. He is the first and oldest vampire. He is responsible for all the vampires in the manor and what they do. He wants to live peacefully and he's the one in charge. Was and still is, as the other vampires tend to let him handle the things. The manor belongs to him after the death of Eloise's parents. Vladimir is an aristocrat, more precisely a count and from his name I'll say his origins are Russian. Which reminded me of "Count Vladimir the Dracula" and I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case here, since Eloise thinks vampire stories are all fictional but she later realizes they are real.
- Beliath is a total womanizier, lol. Selfish and mighty. A little childish and immature too. Thinks he is the most charming vampire in the manor. Not sure if he's an aristocrat but given his behavior I'll say he probably is. His origins can be French, Greek or Russian since he once was close to Vladimir. Apparently something happened between them and now they dislike, hate each other. Maybe something personal. They're about same age. Beliath doesn't care about Vladimir's authoritative or intimidating figure. He seems to be close with only Ethan. He's ok with Raphael too but I guess he dislikes to be "commanded" from Raphael and Vladimir. He dislikes Vladimir authoritative figure and Aaron's wolf side. Probably dislikes even Ivan's uncontrollable behaviour.
- Ivan is the last and youngest vampire. I'll underline the part "particularly aggressive and thirsty for blood." Ivan doesn't have control of his behavior. He probably became a vampire a little before Eloise's arrival. My guess is that it was Vladimir who turned him into a vampire as Ivan seems to be scared, afraid of Vladimir's intimidating side when he accidentally pushed Eloise and injured her. Or maybe it was someone else outside the manor. I doubt it's one of the boys inside the manor. I can think of only Beliath from them. Vladimir can be aggressive too but he is not dangerous and has control of his bloodthirst. Ivan's origins seem to be the same as Vladimir's. Both Russian.
- Well, Aaron is definitely different. About his secret I'll say he's in real a hybrid. Meaning a vampire and werewolf. Maybe since his birth. Spends his time mostly outside the manor. Alone or with Vladimir. With Raphael and others too but I'm not sure. He takes care of the garden together with Vladimir. They seem to be close. Personally, I think Aaron hides a dark past like Vladimir. Can be a sad one too, who knows. He's kind and smart. Also I'll repeat that Vladimir wants them all to live peacefully, without any harm even if Aaron is not a dangerous vampire. I'm not sure about Aaron's origins, but he can be Russian too.
- Ethan's past is definitely a sad one. He probably lost his family when he was still human and that can explain his aversion towards them. Before Ivan's arrival in the manor. He could have had a trauma that led to his psychoctic behavior. He doesn't look to be dangerous and I can guess he hunts down criminals to provide blood/food. Ethan at first hates Eloise's human nature but gets happy and mocks Ivan for injuring and "killing" her. About his origins, I can say Ethan was turned into a vampire either from Beliath or Vladimir after his family was murdered. Can be French or British.
- Raphael's behaviour shows to be a sweet and kind vampire. He's gentle and considerate of others feelings. He seems to get well with every one of them, at least for now it looks so. His past is also sad. I'm guessing he lost his family too. Lost his eyesight due to a betrayal. He was betrayed or his family was and they were murdered. Maybe from werewolves since he caries a silver sword with him. I doubt it's from witches but.... And I'm not saying it was Aaron who murdered his family but it can be his clan of werewolves. He's the same age as Vladimir. Both are old vampires or only Raphael is a vampire since his birth. Raphael is close with Vladimir but he can be also close with Aaron or other boys. We'll see more about that later. Vladimir is close with both of them. His outfit shows he's an aristocrat too. An italian aristocrat (or prince). I think he can be French too. Vladimir and Raphael are the only ones with different outfit. Maybe Beliath too...Others have modern clothes. Loves to read books and spends most of his time in the library reading or selecting books. Don't know if ML has books in braille but it can be since Vladimir owns the library and said the books there are all rare and of valor. Or he could read books to Raphael or gifted (done) some in braille for Raphael to read.
Well, this is all. I hope the release is soon. I'm liking the ML story very much. My picks are the Raphael and Ethan.
A little trivia, theories, for the first two ML chapters.
Well I played in french language from the app and my translation might not be accurate, sorry. Please correct me if I did some mistakes.
- Vladimir was the first vampire who got in the manor and is the "oldest" among them all. He loves flowers and the garden, or his garden to say so. He takes care of it xD. Vladimir seems to share a close relationship/bond with Raphael and Aaraon. He dislikes, hates Beliath and his behavior. Appaerntly both Vladimir and Beliath dislike each other. He hates arguing with selfish or immature people. He probably wants people to respect him as he's the "oldest". He was in charge of the manor before and the boys continue to respect him, leaving him in charge.
- Beliath dislikes Aaraon too, for some reason. He seemed getting well with Raphael or being ok with him. I think he sounded older than Raphael in a certain point but I'm not sure on this. Beliath and Vladimir probably had something personal. A personal argument that made them hate each other. As Beliath took once Vladimir's clothes and probably wanted to impersonate him. He calls Vladimir "Count". Meaning Vladimir can be a royal vampire and that's why the other vampires respect him.
- Raphael also seems to dislike Beliath's behavior (a bit) when he senses Beliath "bothering" Eloise. He intervenes to talk to Eloise and advice, reassure her. He's very kind and gentle. Raphael also seems to be descending from a royal family, like Vladimir. Raphael calls Vladimir "Vlad" and I think he was the second vampire to get in the manor. Or third, since Vladimir and Beliath have some personal argument. Raphael is blind but he seems to have a strong sense of feeling/knowing were other boys are. Loves to read books and can spend a lot of time in the library. Since Raphael is blind, Vladimir can read books for him. He spends a lot of time in the library too, aside his garden of flowers. Otherwise I don't know how Raphael reads his books, lmao.
- Aaraon likes nature (flowers) and that's why he gets along well with Vladimir, lmao. He can be the fourth vampire that joined the manor. After Rapahel probably. He understands Vladimir's reasons for hating Eloise when she fell and "destroyed" his garden. Both Aaraon and Raphael advise Eloise and reassure her about Vladimir's behavior, that he does not hate her and Eloise should explain to him. Vladimir can be dangerous sometimes but he is not a scary person. Aaraon is different from the other vampires and seems to spend most of his time alone outside the manor. Meaning he has a secret and since there was something with the wolves, my hunch is Aaraon is not only a vampire but a hybrid or werewolf. That's why Beliath dislikes him. He dislikes his smell haha.
- Eloise is not a dumb or a selfish girl. She is smart and careful in her decisions with other vampires. After her parents death, the manor belongs to her. She is afraid of Ivan. He was the one to push her down and injure her. She seems to be calm and get along well with Raphael and Aaron. I think she'll get along well with Ivan too. Ivan is the youngest vampire, younger that Ethan probably and he also seems different from other boys.
I was pacing back and forth my room, angry, and woken by that damn scream.
Seriously, this has to end NOW!
I opened the door and went downstairs.
The party had just ended and the guests seemed to be leaving in a rush, as something bad had happened. I entered the grand salon, shocked by the scene in front of my eyes. A woman's body was lying on the floor, trickles of blood fell from her neck. I stood motionless for a moment, until a hand grabbed my arm and pulled me away.
“Raphael!” I called, as he freed my arm.
“Don't go there." he said.
"What the hell is going on here?" I asked him, while turning back my head. My anger now transformed into worry. The so called leader, Vladimir, was having a serious conversation with Beliath and Ethan.
“Most importantly, be careful not to get caught…”
His figure was authoritative and commanding.
“We've already got enough work on our hands.”
Ethan took a step forward, as not bothered by what he said, but Beliath was.
“It’s always the same ones who have to do the dirty work.” Ethan said, while leaning down and picking up the woman's dead body in his shoulder. He approached my way, towards the exit. “Have you got a weak stomach, my dear?”
That smirk on his lips and those scanning blue eyes.
I left Raphael's side, and passed by Ethan. Both of them didn't say anything, as that got everyone surprised and guessing. Displeased and back to my anger, I faced Vladimir. “I've had enough.”
It was time for me to make things clear with him.
“You stop right there, Ethan!” I snapped.
He didn't listen to my words, but left, carrying the dead body outside the manor. I sighted, and sat on the chair standing beside me. Vladimir, who still hadn't said a word, decided to sit on the other side of the table, in front of me. He took a deep breath, and then spoke.
“Listen, you little uneducated human.” he said, while crossing his legs and straightening his posture. “Who do you think you are?”
His cold gaze gave me chills, but I didn't care.
“A witch, in case you've forgotten.” I replied.
Beliath didn’t listen to his leader, and didn't follow either Ethan. He smiled and sat far from Vladimir. Raphael also didn't leave, and came to take another sit next to mine. He took my hand, and my heartbeat slowly began to calm down.
Beliath, who was two seats away, chuckled. If that was funny to him, it wasn't for Vladimir. His cold stare now directed at Beliath. “Go, leave!”
If there was one thing that angered Vladimir the most, was his authoritarian being doubted.
I turned my face at Beliath, too. “Vladimir’s right.”
I said, while standing up from my chair.
“If you don't go out in three seconds and help Ethan, I'm gonna cut your damn hair.” I told him. That made him stand up without adding a word, and leave the lounge at the speed of light. I sat back in my chair.
“Gratia Citius!” I pronounced, as the empty chair moved on it’s own and got repositioned. With that done, I looked at Vladimir and his satisfied face. “With all due respect, leader, you're done.”
After those words, the door slammed open and Aaron entered. He sat beside Vladimir, listening.
“Where's Ivan?” I asked Aaron.
“Not with me.” he answered.
What does that mean? Maybe he's…
My thoughts got interrupted by Raphael. He let go of my hand, and stood up on his foot. I looked at him, thinking about the murderer who had gone free and unnoticed. I banged my hand on the table. Damn it! It was obvious that the killer was a vampire, given the bite mark the woman had. She was around my age, too young and had died horribly. I felt bad, knowing it could have been me, as I revived my own dying moment on the day I arrived.
“Where were you, then?” I asked Aaron, again, but the one to answer that question was Vladimir.
“He has nothing to do with it, and so does Ivan.” he cleared his throat. I knew what he meant, I didn't want to blame Ivan, and that kept me thinking even more and got me more angry. This whole situation with the murdered woman, in my manor, occupied by six vampires, was absolutely crazy.
“You're telling me there's another vampire?”
I stood up on my food too, and got in front of Raphael. This was one of the reasons I hated vampires. It was different from books or tv series, it was real.
“Vladimir,” I pointed my finger at him, as he raised his head and gave me his cold stare. I could see his murderous aura rising. He had waited long enough for me to claim my rights and end this ridiculous scene, as his authoritarian status was higher than mine. Vampires were superior to humans, but not to witches. If he thought I would get scared and obedient, because they could control me, it was very wrong. I became a chalice by my own choice, not out of fear or for not having options. I didn’t want to break my bond with Raphael. Even before saving me from death, he was kind to me, and on my side. After Aaron, Raphael was the second oldest vampire. He had lost his sight, and I wanted to repay his kindness and his affection by healing up his blindness and his wounds. I decided to stay with him for the rest of my life, he made me feel safe.
“From tomorrow, I'll be in charge of this manor. Like it or not, I don't care.” I said, as I took a step forward towards Vladimir. “Dare not to mess with me, I can kick you out of here or worse, kill you.”
To threaten Vladimir was probably a good thing, as he was a vampire and needed to see that vampires weren't immortal at all. I had been bottling my patience for long enough. Fed up with determination, it was time to reclaim my position. It bothered me being treated as a powerless human, let alone a powerless witch. Those stupid vampiric rules, were nothing for me. The manor was the only thing my deceased parents left, and it belonged to me. “You're also going to pay me.”
I exhaled, and then inhaled. That was it!
Furious, Vladimir stood up from his chair, and banged his cane on the floor. Aaron stood up immediately after and put his hand on Vladimir's shoulder, trying to appease his anger. So did Raphael, who came closer and put his hand around my waist. Both Vladimir and Aaron were looking at Raphael, hoping for him to say something. Maybe help them change my mind too, but that was not going to happen. He kissed my cheek, and I blushed.
“Let us talk in private, please.” he whispered.
I smiled and kissed him back.
“I'll be reading a book, in my room.” I said, while breaking free from his arm, and leaving them.
When he returned, thirty minutes later, he came by the balcony and hugged me from behind. I lifted my hand and brushed his hair. Didn't ask him about their conversation, but instead I told him something else.
“I wish you could see how pretty the moon looks tonight.”
There was a bright full moon on the clear night sky. He tightened his embrace, and leaned his face even closer. “Maybe the moon is, but it can't be compared to you.” he said, and kissed my neck. His breath, and the touch of his lips, made my skin shiver. I put the book on the glass table, and turned my face at him. I took off the eye band, and delicately caressed his eyes. He had still closed them, as if being afraid by some light.
I slid my fingers touching his soft lips, and gently kissing him.
ok but how did they go from this to that? yo oh.
can anyone explain about the second illustration?
and apparently Nath is back blonde...🤷🏻♀️
Still no idea what this part was, but Raphael as profile picture looks damn good. 😆
I hope there's the choice later, to edit your character and to have different hair color for the illustrations.
