Secret Life/ Game of Thrones

Someone asked on a show dedicated to Secret Life. “Who would Ben Boykevich (that is how to spell his name) be if he was on Game of Thrones.

The answer

TYRION LANISTER:  the reason e would be executed because he doesn’t look pretty.  That is why both Ben and Tyrion are hated.  I mean Tyrion is a dwarf, but he is probably the bravest person on the show.  Countless times he has proven himself, and sacrificed for other’s similar to Ben.  Like Tyrion who doesn’t do what people want, but he does gives them what they need.  Unlike everyone else who coddled Joffrey he  disciplined him.  Did he best to guide and even protect him just like Ben did for Amy, John, Ricky, and Adrian.  What Tyrion did wasn’t liked by anyone on the show, just like Ben wasn’t liked by the fans.  He had very few friends, just like Ben, and even those friends were not as loyal.  Yep Tyrion and Ben are the underdogs of their prospective shows, because they aren’t pretty enough for a lot of people.  Fans ignore all Ben did for so many. Fans even refused to remember Ben spoke up for Ricky the day his son John was born.  Even when Amy the mother of his child didn’t want him their.  Ben took her phone called the number and held it to her head, and stood their quietly while she called, and spoke to him.  He made sure Ricky wouldn’t know he was the reason he did that, because just as Tyrion stood on the wall when the Baratheon’s invaded for Joffrey and fought in his place.  He did it because he was a good person. But just like Joffrey refused to see what Tyrion did on his behalf just like Ricky/ Fans refused to see what Ben did on Ricky’s behalf.  But in Game of Thrones Tyrion at least was given some credit by Joffrey, and he was given respect by the men.  Ben didn’t get shit from anyone for all he did.  Just like Tyrion no matter what he does neither Ben/Tryion never seem to get their father’s approval.  I just wish Ben would have done like Tyrion and killed Leo’s fat ass while he sat on the toilet.  Leo just like Twyin would deserve it.  That stuff always goes under the radar with so many people.

This Is Who I AM

Dr. Markus:  What was that price? Ben:  My soul....  When you love someone you give them a part of yourself.  That part of yourself that gives you the ability to believe in, and love yourself.  I cared, and loved all of them.  I gave a piece of myself to Amy, to Adrian. Henry, and Alice.  My father, Betty, Camille, Chloe.  John,...Mercey.  I even gave a piece of myself to Ricky.  In the end I discovered there wasn't much left.  By the time I was eighteen I was empty inside.  I reached out for anything to fill it.  It's why I latched on to a belief that Amy loved me.  It's why I was with Dylan because I needed to fill that emptiness.  But then I realized, they didn't care.... They didn't care about all I had did for them, or all that I had sacrificed for them,  and worse they didn't care why I did it for them.  I was so stupid and foolish, I never realized just how much until that day I saw them.

Dr. Markus: Saw them where.

Ben:  Getting married.  I saw all of them there, happy and laughing.  It's like I was never there.  Like I never mattered.  I realized I didn't.  To them I was just a means to an end.  They only needed me, and then they didn't.  Then I became annoying a nuisance to them.  Even to my own father.  Then I realized that is all any of them had ever been to me.  That's when I left.  I left to find something anything to fill the void that was in me.  That's when I met, Gram.  3-Jay, Vincent, and Claire.  They saw what little of my soul was left and they thought it was worth saving.  And each of them gave me a piece of their soul to become whole again.  That's why I'm not the same man I was then.  Because who I am who ever or what ever it is they saw that was worth helping,  worth caring about, worth loving.....

Dr. Markus: (puts down his pen and note pad he didn't know how to analyze this)  Well Ben that is all we have time for today.

Chapter 32: No Mercey

Adrian: (looks at her with disdain)  You have no idea what you are talking about, we were friends.

Zoey:  (returns her gaze and scoffs)  Oh please Adrian you all used him and you know it.  The only thing I wonder is did all of you come together and think of your plan or did you all have a separate agenda.

Adrian: What is that supposed to mean.

Zoey:  That means his sister Chloe may have been a prostitute, but you were the real WHORE!!!

Adrian:  How dare you.

Zoey: Like the devil slut....(looks at her with cruelty)  I mean face it, that is what you did.  You fucked him, married him, and then divorced him in what four months.  

Adrian:  I married Ben, because we were in love, and having a child.

Zoey:  You mean the exact same con Amy pulled on him the year before.

MISTAKES IN QUESTION

Amy: Yes, you are..... (looking closely as she notices his suit snugly fits to his form showing he has gained both weight and muscle mass) So what have you been up too after all these years?

Ben: I've been growing up.

Amy: Yeah, I guess you have. I only wish Ricky would have done the same.

Ben: I am sorry about that Mrs. Underwood. How is your family, I know that this must be difficult for you and your children. It must be very difficult for them with John being a teenager, and Jamie barely being a toddler.

Amy: Well it's more difficult for John with him being a teenager and he and Ricky being so close. But how do you know about Jamie, did my dad tell you.

Ben: No, I have my sources

Amy: Yeah, Adrian told me you had some way of keeping tabs on us.

Ben: Well this is the age of social media, Mrs. Underwood. Type in a name and you have everything about a person. But, I can assure you I did not hack into your computer to find out anything. (reminding her of the time he read her e-diary)

Amy: That's alright (remembering that incident) I stopped using an e-diary, and use the paper one now. It may not be good for the environment, but it's safer for me.

Ben: Well good for you. Well if there is nothing else Mrs. Underwood I have to get back to work.

Amy: (becomes agitated at how Ben keeps calling her by her last name) Ben why are you doing that?

Ben: Doing what.

Amy: Calling me by my last name it's me Amy. We've known one another for 13 years.

Ben: I know who you are Mrs. Underwood. But we haven't known one another for nearly nine years. I don't think either of us are the person we used to be, and I don't think we knew each other at all even then......(looking at her with cold eyes that almost make her shiver)

Amy: Ben, how could you say that. We dated for two years, we were each others' first love.

Ben: With all due respect Mrs. Underwood, I don't think that. We thought we were in love, or I thought I was in love, but we weren't.

Amy: Ben we were married, or tried to get married.

Ben: We were young and dumb as they say Mrs. Underwood, at least I was. What we had was only kids pretending. You don't have to spare my feelings I know you never really loved me.

Amy: Ben how could you say that. I loved you.

Ben: Mrs. Underwood you didn't love me. You only needed me, and that probably made you believe you loved me, as it did to me but you didn't. You were just a young girl in a bad situation, and you needed someone to lean on. I was a naive kid who mistook your desperation for love, and was there. That's all.

Amy: Ben that was not all we were, and you know that.

Ben: Mrs. Underwood what I know is you were fifteen, scared, pregnant, and alone. You probably would have reached out to anyone. I was there, so you reached out to me. AQ: (This was also a statement made by a RAMY FAN, does anyone else agree???)

Amy: (becomes sad and angry at that) Stop that Ben. Stop pretending that our relationship was just some accident. That we were just an accident or something. (begins to shed tears)

Ben: Mrs. Underwood.....

Amy: AMY!!!! My name is Amy, not Mrs. Underwood. Stop acting like that. Like our relationship didn't mean anything to you. Like I didn't mean anything to you...(begins to cry)

SETTING THE FIRE

Bunnie: Ben, I was your boss I couldn't play favorites.

Ben:  Leo was my father, and you both played favorites. But, you are no longer my boss, nor are you an employee of this company. Like my father I no longer need you, and you were of little to no use when I did. So please leave.

Bunnie:  (becomes sad and angry at that) Ben, I might not have always been there, but I tried.

Ben: Like my father you didn't try hard enough, and when it got to difficult you gave up. Which is something a real mother would never do.

Bunnie: Everything I did Ben was because....

Ben: Because my mother asked you to do it. She made you promise to do it, and you failed. I still became my grandfather.

Bunnie: How do you know that?

Ben: Because I was there, under the bed listening to everything. I was there until the day my mother died. She told me everything. Everything about my Grandfather, my uncle, and why she was so worried about me. But after everything I understood. Understood my mom, my grandfather, and even my Uncle, and all of you. My Grandfather was doing what my Father never did for me and tried to protect his kids from the horrible people in the world who would use them, and hurt them, and toss them away. Like my Dad he failed. Because that is all you and my Dad ever did to my mom.

Bunnie: (becomes angry not sad) Don't you dare say that to me. I loved your mother, and there is not a day that goes by that I don't miss her or mourn her death.

Ben: Yet, I was the only one who held her hand when she breathed her last breath. The only one who made sure she didn't die alone. The only one who visits her grave on the anniversary of her death so she knows, she is never alone. Unlike you and my father I kept the promise I made to her. Can you stand there looking at me the way I am now, say the same? So were you really my mom's friend, or were you just like everyone else a beggar looking for a hand out?

Bunnie: (is sad and angry at the man Ben has become) I don't know what has happened to you Ben, but Sarah would be ashamed of the man you've become.

Ben:  No, Bunnie that is where you're wrong. My mother is Damn proud of the man I have become.

Bunnie: With how you're acting, how could she.

Ben: I only act this way toward people who have proven they can't be trusted. Which is something you did a long time ago. If you don't like it, you can leave. Since you no longer work here, you don't have to come back.

Bunnie: Fine. I once thought that you were the better man Ben, now I see Ricky was always the better man.

Ben: Bunnie, don't be so pessimistic you all always thought he was better than me.

Bunnie leaves angrily and sad. Looks at the picture of Ben Helen on the wall, and throws Nora's stapler at it, but it doesn't damage the picture only crack the glass a little. Nora goes in to see Ben, and ask how he could be so cold and cruel to Bunnie. Ben has once again sat and acted as if nothing has happened.

November 12, 2024 3:45 PM Office of Doctor Kenneth Fields Ricky Underwood sits on the couch hugging to a pillow feeling embarrassed. He hadn't done this in nearly ten years, but now he felt he should. He felt bad about Ben leaving everything behind so long ago, but he had to admit he liked the fact he was gone. With Ben gone he was free to have all he had ever imagined in a relationship with Leo. Leo had once thought of him like a son, and with Ben no where around Leo focused his attention on he and his family. 

 He knew it was wrong, but he liked it. He felt that it wasn't his fault Ben left, it wasn't his fault Ben couldn't man up and accept defeat. He believed that Ben deserved it for ever thinking he could beat him. Amy and Adrian were his, and Ben was a fool to ever believe that they could ever want him, over he and Omar. But, he also felt bad because Ben was probably the best friend he had ever had, Omar and Jack were okay, but Ben and Ashley were the ones who knew him best. Unlike everyone else in his life including his parent's Amy, Adrian, and even Leo Ben and Ashley truly knew him, and neither pulled punches when it came to being honest with him. 

 He thought he could have the same friendship he had with Ashley when she returned, but to Ashley he had made a fool of her, and she refused to forgive him for that. He felt bad, but deep down he knew he deserved it. It only took a year before Ben leaving when all hell for Leo started, and for his own marriage. Leo in such a short time began to put on weight, and drinking heavily. Worst of all the man who seemed to have the perfect hair even better than his own began to thin, and gray. He and Amy began to argue heavily, because she started to miss her friends in New York, and his apartment was so small. Leo helped settle the situation by giving them the condo Adrian, and Omar shared.

Now You See Me Now You Don’t

Ben:   Like no matter how bad things in life get, it doesn't mean you have to go bad too.  I also learned that people have flaws, and they make mistakes, and you can't always hold those mistakes against them.  I also learned that sometimes it's better to let go of the past because it only holds you back, and unfortunately sometimes letting go of the past means letting of the people in your past no matter how much you don't want to.  (looks at Chloe sadly)

Chloe:  So you had to let go of me, mom, and Dad in order to move on?

Ben:  No, I had to let go of everything.  I needed to put down my burdens Chloe.

Chloe:  I didn't know I was a burden to you. (becomes offended of being called a burden to Ben)

Ben:   Chloe, I want to say that you weren't but you were.  So was Dad, so was Camille, so were Henry and Alice, Amy and Ricky, Adrian and Omar, college, the company.  My stupid life choices.  I don't want to hurt you, back then I didn't want to hurt anyone.  But it was all too much to take in.  I tried so hard to be what everyone else needed me to be, and then I got angry because no matter what I did, it never seemed to help anyone.  No matter what I did I was always treated like the villain.  I know I lost it when I got my stupid obsession over Amy, but I needed something too.

Chloe:  What?

Ben:  I needed an answer to why?  Why did my daughter die?  Why did my mom die?  Why did Betty and my Dad not work out?  Why did Adrian and I not work out?  Why is it Adrian slept with my best friend and not even feel a bit of guilt about it?  Why is it Ricky could do, and hurt anyone and he was always forgiven, and rewarded?

Chloe:  Did you get your answer?

Ben:  Yeah, I did.

Chloe:  What was it?

Ben:   Shit happens, and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it.  All you can do is endure it, and try to overcome.  Life is shitty my life is sometimes shittier than most, but I can't go through life looking like shit, all I can do is clean myself up and keep going.

Chloe:  Words to live by Big Brother.  Words to live by.

WAKING UP FROM THE DARKNESS

GRAM'S DINER October 11, 2013 11:00 PM Back Entrance near the dumpster. Ben waits for the young man who works as the waiter, to dump the bread so he can get to it before anyone else.

Jeremiah: (dumps the trash and waits like his grandmother told him, then see's the young man who was a regular customer head towards it) Hey, you know if you were that hungry we do have a half off special going.

Ben: (stops and is shocked to see the waiter there) Hi, I was just.....

Jeremiah: Just going to go through our trash to steal our old food.

Ben: (is in shock and becomes defensive) Look, I didn't mean to do anything wrong. You were throwing it away I wasn't stealing or anything, and it's not like you were going to use it again.

Jeremiah: Hey, I wasn't trying to get you in trouble. The only thing I have against you is you're a lousy tipper.

Ben: So why are you here.

Jeremiah: My grandma told me she wanted to talk to you.

Ben: Your grandmother?... Why does she want to talk to me?

Jeremiah: You'd have to talk to her about that, and you'd better come on. Grandma doesn't like to be kept waiting. (gets up and opens the door to the back for Ben to enter)

Ben: (looks hesitantly at Jeremiah, but the wind blows and in the Nevada dessert night time is dangerously cold in October, so he carefully walked into the backdoor)

Jeremiah: Hey GRANDMA!!!!!

Gram Johnson: Jeremiah what did I tell you about yelling in my kitchen.

Jeremiah: Sorry Grandma, but I got the cheap tipper for you. Introduce yourself cheap tipper. (referring to Ben)

Ben: Hi, I'm Ben.

Gram: Nice to meet you Ben, my name is Hattie Christine Johnson, but most people call me Gram. The loud mouth know it all is my grandson Jeremiah Johnson.

Jeremiah: You can just call me Jerry, or 3J. only Grandma calls me Jeremiah.

Gram: I had you christened Jeremiah Joshua Johnson, and that is what I am going to call you.

Jeremiah: I know Grandma, I know.

Ben: Well you can just call me Ben.

Jeremiah: Is that it Ben.

Gram: If this young man doesn't want to tell us the rest of his name he has that right.

Jeremiah: Yeah, but why are you hiding something, I mean he could be wanted by the law or something Grandma you never know.

Ben: It's alright my name is Ben...Helen. It's nice to meet you. Can I ask why you needed to see me. If you want me to stay out of your trash I will.
