Hustler Spotlight - Ben McBride: Teleporter
I mentioned Ben early on the site but in mentioning the importance of hustling, I wanted to periodically highlight other bloggers and creatives I feel truly embody the spirit of hustle. When I first thought about it, Ben jumped to the top of my list.
Ben runs Monster Popcorn and has a palpable respect for cinema. More than that though, he’s not simply content to express his opinions through thoughtful reviews on his site, but rather he seems to be almost omnipresent when it comes to any movie or, well, geek festivities.
In short, yes, I’m saying that Ben is a teleporter.
All jokes aside though, Ben doesn’t just make it a point to attend established geek gatherings to express his love for cinema, but also will periodically host his own events. While I’ve only made it to one so far, I had an awesome time and Ben’s a very gracious host whose passions shine bright.
Between keeping a solid blog updated, performing volunteer coverage at some of the biggest geek events in the area, and going out of his way to fuel the geek community fire by MC’ing his own events right here in Columbus, Ben truly is a hustler worthy of admiration!
