"Candles, rose petals and champagne? What's the occasion." (BenCa)
No matter how on top of her game Becca was, the woman was always behind. If it wasn’t her due to her children and their constantly changing needs or running the antique store, Becca might have a moment of long-awaited relaxation. Which she thought would become a reality tonight but her youngest developed a fever and she had to stay home with him to care for him.
By the end of the day, Becca looked a hot mess. Her hair had fallen free from her bun hours before and the clothes were ones she reserved for sick days. It wasn’t until her little one’s fever dropped when she decided to go and take a shower.
It wasn’t until she entered her bedroom, ready to peel her over-sized t-shirt over her head, she noticed the candles. Benjamin emerged from the bathroom, which was also emitting a pleasant candle glow and she realized her mouth was open. "Candles, rose petals and champagne? What's the occasion?"
The man, who’d been her rock since he entered her life, went over to Becca and helped her undress. He didn’t say a word, not yet, as he went to massage her sore shoulders. “This is you time,” he said, fingers worked her aching muscles and he spoke quietly into her ear. “There’s a hot bath with your name on it.”
There was laughter from her end. Tired but she still laughed which she didn’t think she had in it. “I’m lucky to have someone like you.” she sighed. “You’re an absolute lifesaver.” The woman’s tired eyes opened and she took a step towards the bathroom. “I hope you don’t expect me to have this bath alone.”
